[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a product I use yearly, and it has been a mainstay in my lawn care. It has been very effective in killing off various types of weeds that I grow in my yard, plus it also feeds my grass giving me a healthy, green lawn.

My lawn was great before I made the worst mistake to buy this to try and get rid of clover that was starting to grow and spread. I had over seeded and put down organic fertilizers early spring. I applied Scott’s, followed all directions, and ended up with burnt, and dead grass patches. Just see te before and after pictures. I have been watering early morning, hoping to bring the grass back to life. I have learned my lesson, stick to the organic fertilizer, avoid Scott’s.

So… I'm in Lowes, got my hand on a bag of Southern weed n feed and a lady approached me and asked if I had any questions. I showed her pics of the lawn and all the weeds coming up and told her I needed something to kill them off. She asked my lawn type, and recommended the Scotts brand weed n feed. I said why is the Scott's almost $50 a bag and this other one I've got my hand on $35? (Not to mention with the sale they had going the price would've only been $28). She said that Scotts was a great choice and they backed it up with a money back guarantee if not completely satisfied. I again asked, what is the difference, performance wise. She read off the 3 numbers printed at the bottom of the bag. I said what's the difference between those numbers and the ones printed on the other bag? Her reply, "I'm not allowed to look at the other brand's bag" it was at this time I read her shirt and realized her shirt has a Scotts logo on it. She again reiterated their quality, effectiveness, and their guarantee. I grabbed a bag of the Scott's weed and feed and, reluctantly, paid the extra $20 figuring, 'you get what you pay for'. I followed the directions to the letter, even made sure there was no big rainstorms in the forcast that would wash the product off the lawn, even had a Scotts spreader so I was able to match the setting to get the exact right amount on the lawn. Well......its been 2 weeks and the weeds are thriving! What a disappointment, not even one dead weed. It's not like there were no weeds to kill, I was concerned that I would have nothing but dirt once I killed the weeds. Don't waste your time or money on this bag of junk.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product greatly exceeded my expectations. It was very easy to apply and quickly eliminated the annoying weeds in my yard. My front lawn has never looked so lush. I only wish I could afford to do the remaining 23 acres!

Horrible. Had the best lawn before I put this down. I followed the directions precisely. I had a few dandelions and some clover in areas and all this did was turn the grass brown. Complete embarrassment and waste of money. It did not even kill a single weed. have no idea how this product has an overall rating so high at this point.

Make sure the temprature doesnt get close to 90 degrees at any time of the following days, or it will dusroy your grass. The one thing it doesnt discuss how white car, white planter boxes and light color pool cool decking, becomes a Solar Deathray when the sun is added to the mix.
