I used Scott’s Turf Builder Weed and Feed over two weeks ago and will never use it again. I used as directed on the package and it has literally no effect on defeating the dandelions in my yard. When I first applied the product I had a few scattered dandelions in my front yard. Since using the product, I have had what I would consider an outbreak and have spent about 2 hrs of my time pulling these deeded dandelions. I would expect to see some sort of damage to the dandelions as I have been pulling them but, they looked strong as if Scott’s Weed and Feed was actually helping them along. I have filled 3 bags like in the photo in the past two weeks after using a product guaranteed to kill said dandelions. Thanks for nothing, Scott’s

I have used Scotts fertilizers and weed control products for over 25 years and NEVER ran short using the recommended setting for my spreader. With this new product, I ran 25% short. It is difficult to apply to a dew-wet lawn, as it ends up all over the spreader and sometimes jams open the chute. Perhaps when the chute jammed, the product was over-applied in some areas, leaving me without any product for the remaining areas.

But I placed it down liberally in a patch of my garden with weeds and can see a noticeable amount of weeds gone, and my flowers are still blooming

Bought this several weeks ago, and applied to a wet lawn, as directed, with broadcast spreader set at proper setting. Didn't rain for 24 hours. Dandelions started to curl up and die. 7-10 days later, my LAWN turned brown and started to die! I checked online & determined the best course of action was to water my lawn every morning, to the point of runoff, for a week! Tough to do on well water! Now, I have dead grass, and clover is coming up in strips, all over the place! This stuff is horrible! My lawn went from great to garbage in just 10 day's time. Check before and after photos.

After following directions my yard became a buffet for dollar weeds! They are having a good time feasting on the feed part of weed n feed! A 4000 sq ft bag at the price of last years 5000 sq ft bag. Need not respond with the automated reply to a negative review! Only automation I need is automatic refund!

Always went for the "cheaper store or off brands and have had sorry results , so for 2015 , with the use of Scotts weed and feed 3 , and wintergaurd in the fall of 2014 and 2015 my lawn was the envy of the neighborhood, Would have passerbys stop and ask what I was using. Even had the man who aerates say it was looking its" BEST!! It's now Jan 2016 and I have a soft green under the snow and instead of the pale brown of the neighbors. Can"t wait to see what spring brings.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Weed and Feed works best when wetting the lawn first. It took a few days but the weeds got the message and started abating. Lawn is weed free and greener than ever. Be careful when you stop your spreader. If you see excess fertilizer in one spot , make sure to brush or rake the area to disperse the excess. I ended up with a couple of small burn spots by not following my own advice.

I purchased scotts after trying the 'bargain' brand at home depot last year with dissapointing results. this year I thought I'd pay more since the reviews were consistently favorable. followed the directions to the letter, waited till the temps were consistently higher with active weeds popping up, and the grass was just starting to green up. watered the lawn in segments so the W+F wood stick to the broad leaf weeds. and waited. true to the directions, the stuff sticks to the larger leafed weeds and after 48 hrs, 99% of them are shrivelling up. at this rate they should all be dead in the next 48 hrs. I'm glad i had good weather. you may want to wait till the forecast is clear for ~4 days to ensure the weeds have full exposure to the W+F without being washed off. the grass is greening up even more over the last 3 days. I'll update this if the web page lets me. but I've always had good results with the fertilizer performance of scotts. their weed formula works much better than the other brands I try, the stuff is very fine and powdery which seems to stick better to the broadleafs.
