When it dries out, it forms hard clumps. If the product is stored in high heat or humidity or gets rained on, this can happen. Another possible cause is the product being stored on a concrete or cement floor or leaning against a wall made of either material. Concrete/cement draws moisture and can increase the chance of moisture getting in the bag.
