I thought the photos would never be saved and decided to try it anyway, all I have to say is “ Amazing “ they probably haven’t looked that good since they were first developed. All different sizes from 3x3-5x4 with no problem and with out using the sheet insert that came with it . I can’t wait to really start using it for the good photos.

I want to love this scanner, but it has given me nothing but trouble. It doesn't work well at all. I get going on scanning pics and ultimately soon after I begin it will stop working and give me a code "bummer"?!?!? I have no idea what this means, I have googled and find NOTHING on this.

this machine is very interesting and works well. it can give you exclamation mark for no good reason. It could do with a better explanation of how to us and the various buttons. You really should get lay people to check out the product and have their feed back ,not just what it seems engineers(with all due respect) I think you should make it possible to send the scanned photos to a storage device,cutting the steps of downloading to google drive.Many people do not know what google drive is? I certainly do not want to upload my photos to facebook ??

Bought it this week and have already scanned over 100 pictures. Not bad but it does come with issues. First, if there is old tape or glue on the back of a picture, it jams. The back has to be scrapped clean and pristine. Secondly, it will not scan Polaroids. Too thick. An entire generation used Polaroid cameras so there are millions of those out there, fading and rotting. I have a flatbed scanner for those but many don't have that option.

At first try, hooking the usb cable, i followed all directions, and started to install and download all files needed for the scanner. right at the 99% point, it stated it could not go through the process anymore. after several attempts, I completely uninstalled everything and then went with the wi-fi route and everything went fine. I love all the extra programs that come with the scanner to enhance and edit the photos.I liked there was no cd"s to install anything with. everything worked perfect and not a bit of trouble working with this scanner. It is one of the best ,if not the finest scanner i have ever had. This is a review for the Epson FastFoto-680W wireless High Speed photo and document Scanner System that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

So far the software is very cumbersome like old printers. Registration is all manual and didn't pull Serial number via WIFI or USB for some reason, Had to manually enter all contact information. Then it asked me if I wanted to leave a review and when I clicked yes it opened in explorer instead of preferred browser. We will see if the rest of this product is old school.

Bought this scanner to scan the myriad of photos that we have accumulated over the years. It was an easy set up and has been great to quickly make a dent in my project. Bought an external drive for my computer to store all the scanned photos. I am not a technology junkie and yet I can do it with this easy to use equipment. Happy Scanning!

I have scanned over 1,500 old photographs ranging from polaroid instant photos, old black and white photos to 4x6 COLOR prints and every scan came out PERFECT. My 2021 goal is to organize and archive all of my thousands of printed photos! After checking into the cost of someone scanning all of them, I began to research personal photo scanners! I determined that the Epson FF 680 was the one!!! The initial set up was a breeze! And it’s very user friendly! The scanner photos are very clear! I could not be happier with this purchase!!! Purchased this because I needed to archive tons of photos after my grandma passed. Love the enhancement feature and the option to name groups of photos prior to scanning. These are just for personal use and viewing so I'm only using the 600 dpi scanning. My only negative is the scanner does leave tiny scratch lines on the originals after passing through the plates despite cleaning frequently. Its not an issue for me since in most cases I'm throwing away the hard copy but for others this would be an issue.
