This product comes neatly packaged. I was surprised at how light it was for such a powerful machine. Instructions on removal of the product was found on the inside flaps. It comes with all of the necessary cords, power source, and hardware, so no need to look for extra components. The stylish black finish is very modern and sleek. There are tape binding spots to keep the product from being damaged in shipping and styrofoam holding it in place. As far as setup goes, I had no issues with following the instructions. The fact that this product works wirelessly is definitely a plus. I had no problem synchronizing it. I tested the photo restore feature with some old album photos my mother had and I was amazed at the difference. My mother now wants all of her photos restored. The time it took for just one photo , took little to no time at all. I have to save documents as well for small business work so I found that rather easy as well to upload and scan to my computer once I had all of the scan smart software installed. It comes with it so no worries. After giving this item some trial and error, I would give it a 9/10 rating so far on quality of work. It's good enough for professional use. Bought this unit Feb 2, 2025, it is fast and convenient BUT it is advertised as a photo scanner and it does that BUT the quality of the scan is very poor. I tried adjusting setting but could not get it to do a good job. Wish I had my $659.00 dollar back.

As a scanner for over twenty years, I have never used a product that delivers the goods as promised like this scanner does. The speed and accuracy are remarkable. Like all scanned photos, if you are a perfectionist as I am, you know in advance that nearly all scanned photos will require tweaking to get the best results. The solution to the problem of the amount of work required to scan the photos to get them into your PC has been solved by this machine. I highly recommend it.

Before I bought it, I read a few reviews online. You might have seen them - very high price, good value, very fast, high resolution. Yep, that's what I got. No complaints thus far. Every 500 scans or so, I get a message reminding me to clean the scanner bars, so I do. But I have never found any dirt on them, so I guess my family kept their photos real clean. :)

this machine is very interesting and works well. it can give you exclamation mark for no good reason. It could do with a better explanation of how to us and the various buttons. You really should get lay people to check out the product and have their feed back ,not just what it seems engineers(with all due respect) I think you should make it possible to send the scanned photos to a storage device,cutting the steps of downloading to google drive.Many people do not know what google drive is? I certainly do not want to upload my photos to facebook ??

I found this product in the closet at home which was bought by Otto and found this product help settle to save and organize most of my photos and documents. It is really save my time to find & review all concerned historical records. It is great to have it ! !

My husband and I bought this a few months ago to scan our family photo archives. We have some that had faded and b&w photos that looked muddy. Using it is easy and the photo images are nicely enhanced. I’ve just recommended it to my large extended family with the hope they’ll scan and post the photos they’ve been promising to send out!

The scanner is incredibly fast. A regular roll of 36 Prints can be done in under 60 seconds, however that is on the 300dpi setting. The images are not particularly high quality at that setting. I then put the scanner on the highest setting of 1200dpi while better images still not like my 6.1 Megapixel SLR images. This is the reason for only four stars. Operationally the scanner is great with only a few jams due to sticky photos. Cleaning the lens is easy enough as the whole mechanism open up for easy access, with the possibly too frequent auto reminder to clean your scanner lenses there should no problem with remembering to clean them. For the task I set out to do this is making that job very easy and quick. So far I have scanned over 4500 photos and no problems

I recieved this scanner about 3 days ago. Immediately took it out of the box and set it up. The set up was very simple and quick. The included guide walked me step by step on set up and operation. I have scanned approx. 50 pictures through it so far with no problems. The scanner is quick and the pics come out perfect! The ducouments that I have scanned have went through the scanner easily with no problems with feeding. My wife is a teacher on break for the summer. She is beginning to collect things for her classroom. She has scanned several documents on the scanner with no problems. The documents come out clear with no smudges or distortations. She has made the statement that this scanner is much better than the one she was using at a copy place. I purchased this to scan and archive thousands of old photos. The set up on my home wifi was simple and scanning is very fast (1 to 5 seconds per photo depending on the resolution you choose)! You can scan one or both sides of each photo and I've loaded a stack of up to 51 photos into the document feeder. All photos were scanned and saved. The photo editing software works really well for my purposes and I like how I can scan any size photo without much hassle at all. If you know a little bit about the 'techy' stuff and have to scan a lot of old photos, this is the scanner for you! I've tried other cheaper models (Epson Perfection V39 - flatbed) and it was painfully slow compared to the FF-680W. The FF-680W is more expensive but it's well worth the cost for my purposes.
