is a review for the Epson FastFoto FF-680W Wireless High-speed Photo and Document Scanner System that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. This scanner is truly amazing. It fits perfectly in my room because of it's practical size, and I have been able to scan and fix family pictures that I thought were not going to ever be restored. It connects easily to wi-fi and I can access it from my phone, which is extremely convenient for when I am printing pictures from social media. I highly recommend it!

I've tried for a year to make this work for me. I constantly have to reset the settings to get the scan to do what I want. There is no easy way to select a scan profile that you can switch to, If you go from receipts and back to a document or vice versa you have to manually go in and change each save and scan setting. I also recently tried to install it on a new PC, worked fine for 20 or so scans, but now after multiple installations of the software I have a brick on my desk that won't scan documents.

Bought this unit Feb 2, 2025, it is fast and convenient BUT it is advertised as a photo scanner and it does that BUT the quality of the scan is very poor. I tried adjusting setting but could not get it to do a good job. Wish I had my $659.00 dollar back.

Bought it this week and have already scanned over 100 pictures. Not bad but it does come with issues. First, if there is old tape or glue on the back of a picture, it jams. The back has to be scrapped clean and pristine. Secondly, it will not scan Polaroids. Too thick. An entire generation used Polaroid cameras so there are millions of those out there, fading and rotting. I have a flatbed scanner for those but many don't have that option.

The scanner is incredibly fast. A regular roll of 36 Prints can be done in under 60 seconds, however that is on the 300dpi setting. The images are not particularly high quality at that setting. I then put the scanner on the highest setting of 1200dpi while better images still not like my 6.1 Megapixel SLR images. This is the reason for only four stars. Operationally the scanner is great with only a few jams due to sticky photos. Cleaning the lens is easy enough as the whole mechanism open up for easy access, with the possibly too frequent auto reminder to clean your scanner lenses there should no problem with remembering to clean them. For the task I set out to do this is making that job very easy and quick. So far I have scanned over 4500 photos and no problems

My husband and I bought this a few months ago to scan our family photo archives. We have some that had faded and b&w photos that looked muddy. Using it is easy and the photo images are nicely enhanced. I’ve just recommended it to my large extended family with the hope they’ll scan and post the photos they’ve been promising to send out!

This thing really works well. I am in the process of converting thousands of old photos to digital. It is much faster than a traditional scanner & gives me a highborns quality 1200 dpi file. I'm copying the files onto individual hard drives for several family members.

I really love the product. The purchase was long overdue. But I have spent 3 hours reinstalling the software tonight after windows 11 upgrade left laptop "unable to communicate" with scanner. Last try - If it doesn't work I will return scanner.

I've been wanting to organize my photos for the past decade and this scanner is awesome. Super easy to download the software and super-fast to scan. The quality is good. I'm excited to throw away those big bulky photo albums from the past.

We had hundreds of photos that we wanted to digitize Using our All-In-One would have taken forever. The 680W will get I done in hours. What a great tool!!! Worth every penny of its cost....
