Happy With It So Far

After searching specifically for a photo scanner I decided on this Epson Scanner. The reviews were mostly positive and although it is expensive I am happy with the scanner. Setup was fairly easy with no issues. I have to say, a lot of what I am scanning are OLD photos and the automatic enhancement of the scanned image is nice. I would recommend this to my friends.

Pretty much what I had read...

Before I bought it, I read a few reviews online. You might have seen them - very high price, good value, very fast, high resolution. Yep, that's what I got. No complaints thus far. Every 500 scans or so, I get a message reminding me to clean the scanner bars, so I do. But I have never found any dirt on them, so I guess my family kept their photos real clean. :)

Awesone Photo Scanner

Bought this along with an ES-60W scanner to arvhive boxes of old photos and I'm so glad I did. This machine is absolutrly amazing and fast. It scans both sides of the photo if it detects information, otherwise it skips the backside. It came with a carrier sheet to use with frayed, odd sized, turn clippings and etc.. I highly recommend this scanner to anyone wishing to scan lots of photos. It has saved me many, many days of work due the speed and capability. The only complaint, is that I wish you could change the file path and name descrioption from the scan button screen, rather than selecting Done andventering the settings option. I would also, suggest getting the ES-60W scanner for scanning photos to thick (Poloroid) or too small to feed through the FastFoto scanner. You'll thank me for it. I have over 6000 photos to archive.

Fast! Fast! Fast! - I’ve never seen anything as amazing!

I bought this for myself for Christmas, hoping to scan all the family photos. Because there is no scan driver for an iPad at this time, I was unable to use the scanner. I borrowed a laptop from a friend and was able to scan just fine. The photos scan very fast, does batch scanning, even clears up imperfections and red-eyes. I absolutely love it! The only thing they could do better is to have a downloadable app/driver for mobile devices so I don’t have to borrow my friends laptop to use it. I can run my TV as a remote with my phone and tablet, I should be able to work computer equipment as well.

A good scanner

This scanner is easy to use once you get through rembering all the steps to the settings of each project. The scanning is very fast, so fast that often it will stop too soon because the waiting time shuts it down after a few seconds .... When this occurrs the system goes to another process, probably processing each photo before they appear in your folder. So, there is down time waiting for the system to be ready for the next scan. I am yet to figure out if the next batch will continue the correct order. When two photos go through at the same time, you can't fix that right away because you can't see the photos in the folder or anywhere. If a photo gets missed, you still won't know until you complete that batch. Same as having a dust line, I have had to rescan a very large batch because of the dust line. So, the scanner is very good but the software has room for improvement. A fast machine looses this greatness when so much time is done making up for errors in the scanning. I clean the glass and rollers very often but it only takes one dust spot to ruin a batch. The photos come out nice, clear, and with good color. The roller system seems harmless to photos as they are quite gentle. Lastly, I don't think you can start a new batch with a continued file number, I am still looking for that option.

Easy to Use!

I am scanning hundreds of photos of family, friends, parties, trips - covering 40 years. The scanner is fast, very easy to use, and creates high quality photo scans. The only downside is that wifi does not work with 5G - once we figured that it was easy hook up.

One of the best things I have ever bought

I ended up being forced to buy this scanner to put together a photo montage for my mother’s memorial. The last thing I wanted to spend money on was this scanner. BUT, it is one of the best things I have ever bought!!! It scans lots of photos very quickly and does a beautiful job of capturing the images. I ended up taking all the photos out of my mom’s albums, scanned them all and took ten albums home on a little flash drive. And, the beauty is that I can now share all of these photos with my other family members. I have already created several printed albums already. There is nothing more valueable to us (besides our loved ones) than our photos! This is the perfect way to preserve and share them. If there’s ever a fire, all I have to grab is my trusty flash drive!

What I needed to get the job done

With thousands of old prints, I needed a tool to save them. The scanner is fast and offers many options. My only negative is that in the FastFoto software there is no utility to descreen old mat prints, of which I have many. I would hope that in a future release of the software that this issue is resolved.

Pricey But a Really Good Photo Scanner

I am very pleased with the way this product functions in almost every way except it has a problem staying connected to my wifi network. Every time I start a scan it asks what to connect to ( even though there is only one choice and it knows what it is....) This is a remarkably fast photo scanning device. It does a much better job than my previous scanners - so much so that I am rescanning ALL of my thousands of photos! The other issue is what do you do with the Terabytes of info that get generated? I'll accept that challenge.

Fast but terrible quality.

I recently purchased The FF 680W in hopes to get better image quality in the photos I scanned compared to my document scanner. However, I'm very sorry to report that the quality of the images is very poor. It's great that you can scan quickly and at high resolution but it's negated by the terrible "noise" and grain present in the images.
