I do some slides for friends and family for birthdays. I have done 4 this year parents for their kids 18th birthday. Scanning photos has never been easier. The quality is very good with a great enhancement feature. After understanding how the folders can be organized, the organization of photos became a very pleasant feature. Scanning documents is very fast. As I understand it though, you only can scan a document as a picture. Thats okay for archiving. All in all, I really like this machine.

When I first looked at the picture of this scanner, it was hard to believe it was designed to scan pictures. It looked like my previous scanner, which was a fast document scanner. This one will scan documents just fine, but it is a very fast picture scanner, and it does a great job! Everything is pretty well automated, as to where the pictures go, etc. I love the speed and the quality of the picture scans. I could not be happier.

Purchased to archive family photos going back 100 years, worked perfectly. Excellent quality machine, scans, and is very easy to use. A flatbed scanner would not have been an option for all the photos I had to process. Nice design with a small footprint. I researched several machines, but this became the easy choice. Highly recommended.

I would consider myself a “scanning enthusiast,” especially after taking the past few years to scan all of my family’s older photos and documents. Scanning the pictures from the 70s to the present was going to be a daunting task that I put off until I got the Epson FastFoto FF-680W Wireless High-speed Scanner System. The decades of memories, and years of work that it would have taken to scan each individual picture, was digitized in less than afternoon. This scanner is just completely amazing and blows every other scanner out of the water. Not only can it scan an entire packet of pictures in less than 30 seconds, it also scans the back, and enhances the photo to correct red eye, brightness, and restore color in faded photos. Any scanner that I’ve ever used has been so gigantic and bulky. They take over most of my work area and, when not in use, have to be stored elsewhere. One of the most wonderful things about the Epson FF-680W is how compact it is and is able to essentially fold up in itself. It only takes up about 1/3 of the space of a traditional scanner and doesn’t have to be tethered to your device. It also doesn’t push the document through the gears of the machine to scan an image; so if a jam does occur, you simply release the tray to gather your document and try again, without having to pull on the jam only making things worse. Digitizing family photos from last 30 years. This product just works. Waited a long time for the Epson version. 1200 dpi with enhancement takes some computer horsepower, be sure to match Epson OS version with your computer OS version for best results. Results are worth it and so easy for making digital (printed) albums. Thank you Epson.

The Epson FastFoto FF-680W is an awesome photo/document scanner that packs a lot of speed and features for its small size. This scanner is a huge timesaver if you have a lot of photos to scan. The scanner is relatively small for a high-speed scanner, and the build quality is excellent. I am very impressed that the scanner can scan photos at a speed of 80ppm and at the quality of 1200dpi. It connects to your computer via USB 3.0 or Wi-Fi connection. It has the ability to scan duplex and drop out blank pages which is really nice in my opinion. I have used alot of scanner software in my time and I have found the epson scanning software to really good out of the box. It is fast, efficient, and no matter what your computer knowledge it is really easy to use. As a photographer I scan alot of documents and photos for clients, along with doing restoration work and this scanner was incredible to work with. I would recommend this hands down to other scanners. I need this to work off of my mac laptop, not just my phone. I'm not sure it will work since I'm having to jump through hoops to figure this out! Pictures off my phone look pretty good, but I can't max my phone out that way. I need these to go to files off my computer, into an external hard drive. Help please!!!

I bought this scanner 2 weeks ago and WOW is it fast and easy to use. I use the highest resolution 1,200 DPI and my pictures come out great. I am scanning thousands of family pictures and I love the feature that gives you 2 pictures - one original and one adjusted by the machine, which is generally better than the original picture. I have scanned 2,000 pictures so far (1,000 yesterday), and no problems with dust showing on the pictures at all. What a huge advance over flat bed scanners!!!!! I am super pleased! Paul Herr

I bought this scanner a few weeks ago and have already scanned thousands of photos! I am scanning at 600 dpi, tiff files and each photo takes about two seconds, and that includes scanning the back of the photos where I had written names and dates! I still have thousands more photos to scan, but this scanner makes the process easy and fast. No regrets purchasing this unit.

We bought this a couple of months ago and so far have scanned over 20,000 photos with it. We have about 100,000 to go so I should check back in with you all then. So far this device is amazing, it really does scan 1 a second its very impressive to watch. I typically load up about 40 at a time and it just whizzes' through them. The software is very competent and easy to use as well. I highly recommend this if you have a lot to scan.
