FIRE HAZARD! Do not purchase.

Purchased this and had toxic smell but within a week the plug melted and could have set our house on fire. Told the store upon returning it that my online research had several people with same issue. Please don't continue to sell this defective product, it's very dangerous.

worth $20 not $50

bought this fan today and will be returning it tomorrow. the amount of air movement is really very anemic even on its highest setting. i was hoping the quality would be at least close to the one i bought for my bedroom, Lasko® Oscillating High Velocity Fan with Remote. the lowest setting on the high velocity fan seems to be greater than the high setting on this one. there is also a very strong chemical smell on the fan.

Horrible chemical odor

I bought this fan yesterday at Sams Club and as soon as I opened the package, a horrible smell filled the room. I read lots of reviews on multiple websites about the smells of Lasko products, and some suggested letting it run for 24 hours. The entire house reeks of this plastic, chemical odor and I'm feeling dizzy so I put the fan out on the porch, and now the entire outside porch area reeks. There are far too many complaints online about how the smell doesn't go away for me to keep this product. I am definitely going to return it.

When the fan arrived it work for about 12 hours and then the fan started shutting off by itself , started to turn on by itself. It came with a bad circuit board and it would take to long for us to receive another one from the manufacturer. Fan was right height for where it was needed. Would recommend anyway and hope the next person wouldn't have any problems.

BEWARE-Do Not Buy Horrible Fan-Quality ZERO

I bought this fan about 2 months ago at Sam's Club, worst purchase I have ever made. I usually never have any issues with purchases at Sam's Club. This fan worked when I purchased it, but the quality wasn't what I expected or wanted but decided to give it a chance. The air flow/pressure coming out of the fan was extremely low. This week the fan quit working unless it was on the oscillating function, now it has completely stopped working. So disappointed with this purchase and how much I paid for the fan. (Sometimes they will have the fans set up and running in the store to see the quality, but this fan was the only one that was not set up. Now I know why! I don't have my receipt, so I can not get a refund!

Emits Odor

The fan emitted a foul odor. I can't exactly describe it, but I ran the fan for 48 straight hours to see if the odor would go away, but it didn't. When I returned it, Sam's employee told me others have returned it for the same reason. Ended up buying the more expensive $99 blade-less fan. This one does not emit any odor at all. Ironically it is made by the same company, so go figure.

Incorrect Model Advertised

The Fans Sam's club currently has is not the ones being advertised. The model in-stock is the Lasko T48339 and not the T48313. The difference is the T48339 does not have the Fresh Air Ion Filter. The in-stock fan (T48339) is the basic tower fan with remote and speed adjustments. Also, it is noisier than advertised.

Wont Last

Excellent fin at first, but then it died. Just like many others have commented everything worked fine and then one day the fan just stopped working. The lights will turn on the Settings will change, but no fan motor will actually turn on. Very disappointing that is found in the last because I really liked it.

Broken right out of the box

Ordered on-line and it arrived today. Plugged it in and it rattled like crazy. Unplugged it and took a closer look. The fan blades are a series of short stacks of blades, with all the stacks glued together. The top stack had broken off completely from the other stacks beneath it. Cracked right through the plastic; can't glue it back together. Not enough styrofoam inserts inside the box to brace the unit from bumps and drops on its way to our door. Cheap Chinese construction!
