I got one of these fans for my son and I liked it so much that I got one for myself when mine quit working. It's very tall, which is nice. Then my other son's fan broke and, again, I bought the same fan. So we have 3 of the same. Some people mention the smell, but that was only temporary. We have no issues with smell. My only criticism is the blue light. When you turn on the ionizer, it has a blue indicator light which is extremely bright. No worries. I just cut out a small piece of paper and put tape over it to cover up the intensity of the light. I can still see the blue light indicator, but it doesn't keep me awake anymore.

When Sam's runs a sale on these for the price I gave for mine $39 range, this is a perfect steal and a bang for your buck, it doesn't blow a great amount of air, but it's great to have like I do in my livingroom as a air circulator. The $70 price I do not recommend anyone paying that price for this fan.

I have owned lasko fans for many years..but this is one is by far the best..I had purchased an expensive fan with expectations of a lot of air ..but ended up returning it..I purchased this one on Memorial Day wkend and couldn’t be happier..we live down here in south tip of Texas where temps w/be reaching 100’s first week of June..Definitely buying another one for our Hot Hot Summer months..you won’t regret buying this fan for a lot of blown air and as quiet as a motored fan can be...

I seldom write reviews but since I'm depending on reviews more before I purchase a product I knew I had to write a review on this fan because I really think this is a very nice fan for the price. I just bought it yesterday and am VERY pleased with it already!! Airflow is nice and strong on even the lowest setting. The slim design is nice instead of the stand up fans with blades that can stick out in any size room. This is the best stand up fan I have purchase!! Highly recommend it!!

I bought this for Memorial Day weekend and the thumb screws are missing to attach the base to the fan. Now I can't use it for this hot holiday weekend because their hours are M - F 8 - 5. Very disappointed! I rated it a 1 because I am unable to use it until I get the screws. The owners instructions say not to return to the store - Sam's club.

When the fan is facing you from the front where the Lasko name and control panel is, the fan has to be off to the side half way for you to get air on you, I just replaced my old one and when it faced me the air was coming strait at me so this is aligned wrong and that’s a shame but it’s just awkward, they must have made them all like this and then realized they made them wrong so Sam’s Club probably got a huge discount on them.

Air flow so disappointing; Lasko pedestal fan much better on # 1 compared to this Performance one on # 3. Oscillation on this Tower doesn’t even go half circle. I wanted a bit quieter fan than the Pedestal, which Tower definitely is Because it’s lame in power It’s being returned.

Wonderful fan..! Quiet for bedroom use. Great styling for living room use.. Included ionizer icing on the cake. Easy set-up Small problem with all (3) fans recently purchased. Units work only through included remotes, as main unit's controls not usable due to faulty factory assembly. Even after said problem...Still very much love these fans with no regrets.

I bought this fan about two weeks ago. The osculating feature, once turned on, would not stop once turned off. Turned fan completely off and the fan continued osculating. Needed to be unplugged in order for it to stop osculating. Once plugged up again, it automatically begins osculating without pushing the button on the fan and/or on the remote.

See that tiny base on the fan. That is a problem. It is too small and is dangerous if sitting on carpet. I put it on a wood floor for safety but I think one of my cats could easily knock it over. The fan oscillates but not far enough. We run it on high and it certainly will not keep everyone cool unless we constantly circle the fan ourselves. It is very quiet, so 5 stars for that. Great if you have a tiny room and are cooling only one person.
