I'm 50 years old and have owned many vacuums. This by far is the best and has many features. Iv had it for about 2 years now and it works just like new. You are able to remove parts easily for a good cleaning, I wash everything in soapy water and let air/sundry.

We have had multiple shark vaccums and have LOVED them! However I don't think this model has been great at all! Bought one and had to return it because the lights would not turn off. We thought that was probably just a bad one so exchanged for another. This one has been worse! It has never swept as good as our others. It has a horrible rubbing- squeaking sound when it's rotating. We have pets and I've cleaned the filters and it's like the pet odor has clung to it! To the point I will not use it in my house anymore. So almost a year later and I have to buy another sweeper

Excellent Vacuum

This is my second Shark vacuum. The suction is excellent and really got up lots of dirt and debris. The quality doesn't seem to be as great as my previous one purchased 7 years ago. Also, it is a bit top heavy. Someone with muscle weakness or elderly persons may find it difficult to use. The brush rolls really do a great job on carpet as well as hard wood flooring and the attachments it come with are good. However, there are not dusting accessories available for this vacuum.

For the last 2 decades, we've owned the Cinetic ball vacuum made by Shark's major competitor. While those vacuums work well for carpet, they never worked well for hardwood floors. They could pick up fine pieces, but I had to use the hose to suck up larger pieces, like Cheerios. The Shark can vacuum up it all... small and large. I just vacuumed up an entire bowl of Cheerios and the vacuum pick up every piece! I'm impressed!
