Reliable, clean, and flexible power in portable f

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a absolute masterpiece of generator! The Generac iQ3800 Dual Fuel Inverter Generator is a thoughtfully engineered solution for anyone needing reliable, clean, and flexible power in portable form. Designed with an emphasis on quiet operation, modern user-friendly controls, and safety, the iQ3800 strikes a balance between raw output and advanced technology. One of the standout features of the iQ3800 is its dual-fuel capability, allowing users to switch between gasoline and propane depending on availability or personal preference. This versatility is particularly useful during emergencies when fuel options may be limited. The inverter technology ensures clean, making it safe for sensitive electronics such as laptops, TVs, and mobile devices. The iQ3800 is ideal for both home and recreational use. Generac equips the iQ3800 with Smart Economy Mode, which adjusts engine speed based on load demand to reduce fuel consumption and noise. This efficiency is particulammmmmrly valuable for long-term use during outages or for overnight RV stays, allowing users to run essentials like refrigerators, sump pumps, or air conditioning units without frequent refueling. Weighing in at around 107 lbs, the iQ3800 isn't the lightest unit in its class, but it compensates with a robust wheeled frame and folding handle for easier maneuverability. The generator's fully enclosed housing not only reduces noise but also adds durability and protection in rugged environments. Despite its weight, its compact design and clean interface make it a practical choice for those needing power on the go.

IQ 2000

Well designed engine and load monitoring system. Nice compact package with minimum weight (a very important feature for RV'ers). A paralleling kit and RV plug would certainly add to its desirability. Am interested in following the development of the IQ 2000 .

IQ3500

Out of the box the IQ3500 i bought was leaking gas. Tried tightening the drain valve. Still leaking. Called Customer service and they were worthless. Told me I had to drive to a dealer one and a 1/2 hours away. Then told me they could not say this was under warranty even though was just out of the Box 2 weeks earlier. Decided to take it 15 minutes away to a small engine repair specialist. He found that the major gas line out of the tank was ripped. Cost me 60 bucks to get repaired. The customer service from these guys at Generac is absolutely worthless. I do not recommend Generac products on customer service alone.

Very pleased

Purchased through Amazon, arrived in a timely manner in perfect condition. Unpacked, added oil and ethanol-free gas, it started on the 2nd pull. Very satisfied with how quiet it is, will be using it with a small travel trailer. Let it run for 20 minutes with a light load, then shut down. A few hours later it started first pull and I connected to the trailer and started the A/C. The generator was only about 2 feet from the trailer and I couldn't hear it inside with the A/C running. Let it run for 30 minutes, then shut it down. So far, so good. Had to buy the adapter plug, no big deal.

Good but lacking power

I bought this for my camper. I realized it wasn't powerful enough to run my ac unit so bought another to run in parallel and still wouldn't run my ac. Good for smaller items just disappointed I now have 2 and still not powerful enough for my needs. Will run a fridge no problem though.

I like this iq3500 except.....

Seems like a great product but the motor started surging after the first hour of usage. I suppose there is a plugged orfice of some sort in the carburetor but I don’t really want to take it off and clean it. The fuel filter should have taken care of this issue. ??

Great Generator

Bought this generator to power my RV for off grid camping. Have only been out with it once so far but are very impressed with it. Starts like a dream and easily powers my AC and other things. Runs very quiet on economy mode. My only suggestion is that it needs wheels since it’s quite heavy to lift.

Great Inverter/generator

Well it took a week or two after getting my new Generac IQ2000 before I could mess with it. I put the oil in and gassed it up, set evertything to "ON". It took several pulls for it to start the first time but it ran great. I love the "Time Remaining" the gas and also love the load graph, really neat features. It is much quieter that I expected. I think it will be perfect for what I bought it for. Thanks Generac!

Darned Outages

We have been subject to power outages about once a month for hours on end-which pushed me to make power of my own. Here in the South in summertime it gets very humid and without air I have a hard time breathing-well no more. Fired right up on 2nd pull of the recoil and ran as it should right from the start. I installed a wall kit to transfer power indoors without exhaust and rain coming in from an extension cord thru the door. This unit will run a 12000BTU air/heat unit and also other electrical items at the same time without barely a complaint. If I had to rebuy I definitely would.

Louder than expected

Heat shield over the muffler rubs against the muffler and is loud and annoying. I'll probably take it off and see if I can bend it away so the metals don't touch each other. I bought the generator to camp with so I want to make it a little more quiet. Haven't gone yet. Just filled the oil and put gas in it to test. Ran a heater and skill saw with no issues.
