Dead Battery on an Island

Although it was difficult ro get through to the correct people at Generac, we eventually did and after reviewing our case, they acted professionally and quickly. Thank you.

So far its perfect

I bought the iQ3500 for my off-grid cabin to help charge my battery bank when solar is not an option. I also use it to run a small a/c unit when its hot. I have over 120hrs on it and have never had an issue. Its very quiet and has never given me any issues. For what I need it to do it seems perfect.

Worked as advertised. Saved my food supply!

Used it twice now for neighborhood wide power outages. It has enough power to keep a refrigerator, freezer and some electronics going. For the first outage I had charged the battery and it started with the electric start. For the next outage, battery wasn't charged enough. However, the pull start worked easy on the first try.

Great Features, Nice Package, Nice Price!

Got a decent deal on this product, was looking for a nice inverter generator to serve as a backup option for our small business. My only gripes on this is that you have to take off the side panel to service the oil (would rather there be a way to check and fill oil without a screwdriver) and that the Off/Run/Choke knob was easier to turn and gave some sort of haptics or snap to indicate that you are on proper setting (Run vs. Choke).

At 105 lbs. HARD for 89 year old to lift out of

Generator is quiet and started on 3rd pullstart. Instruction misleading on electric start! Shows how to hook battery at battery studs! Cost me $20 to find out line behind battery was unplugged! Already hooked to fully charged battery!! Quietly does job using very little gas, haven't tried LP yet. WELL satisfied with it! Used to trim all my hedges about 4 hours, some 150 ft from a plug in! BLESSINGS!!!

Great generator for the price!

I recently purchased a Generac 3300i inverter generator for my camper, and I couldn’t be happier with it. It’s quiet, efficient, and easy to start, making it perfect for camping trips. It’s lightweight and portable, so loading it in and out of the camper is no hassle. Overall, an excellent generator for the price—reliable, well-built, and great peace of mind when I’m off the grid.

Power Outage - Generac 3300i

Within a month of purchase, we had a 30 hour power outage. I ran extension chords through the garage and into the house, and we powered a small space heater and some LED lights. We were very glad to have this generator to support us during this difficult time.

Great portable Inverter/generator

I'm very pleased with the purchase of this model Generac Inverter. Really like the dual fuel operation and its low noise level. The other features that did NOT disappoint is its mobility to move around with the clever pull up handle, makes it very easy to maneuver as I'm a senior citizen. Also, pleased with having both the electric start and pull start option should the battery get weak/fail. I purchased this to have an emergency backup for electric to our home in case we lose power during storms. Didn't want to spend $12K - 15K for a whole home generator system. This unit will run a full circuit in our home along with the gas furnace/blower. I'd give the 5 Stars if it weren't for the battery hookup experience when I first received this unit. When I hooked up the battery it wouldn't work, however pull start worked fine and unit ran fine. I read through the manual, and everything was hooked properly to the battery. I made 2 calls to the Generac 24/7 hotline/support and they were -0- help. Checked the battery, figured it was bad, but to my surprise it was good. Next, check the wiring leads to the battery from the unit. Heck, there was an inline bypass on both Positive & Negative battery leads. Took 5 seconds to switch both. Smart idea by Generac to keep battery from draining until units are sold to a customer. BUT, C'mon Generac, put this info in your User Manual or attach note to battery leads and make your hotline phone service people know!

Parts diagram unavailable

I was disappointed that I cannot find a parts diagram available for download or purchase anywhere online. The product is good, but owner support seems lacking in this respect.

Disappointing purchase

Purchased a Generac inverter generator on 4/26/2026. Would not operate from the first try. The generator would not run for more then one minute at a time then stall. It has been at the repair shop since.
