I've tried the new Glade Tidy Cats litter & I absolutely hate it! It doesn't clump nearly as well as the Multi-Cat litter (with the blue lid) and as a result, the litter gets dirtier much more quickly. I've found that I have to completely change the box about twice as often as before. And I don't find the smell to be any better. If anything, it's worse because the litter is dirtier. I have an unused 35 pound container that's just sitting in my garage, which I will only use in the event of an emergency. I really, really hope that this new product isn't intended to replace the old one, because if so, I'll be shopping for another brand of litter altogether!

I've always loved tidy cat but something surely changed in the formula. Every time my cat pees, it forms a paste in the bottom of the litter box that I have to scrub out. I do scoop this out every day or every other day. The clumps fall apart as soon as I try to scoop them out, and the strong ammonia smell is unleashed. I've tried changing my cats food, but the problem persisted. Not until I changed cat litter brands did I see a difference. No longer a loyal customer.

We have a home with 4 cats, this product worked well with odor control, and even though it tracked, it wasn't horrible. Recently I noticed the litter is a tan color, not the gray like before, tracks much worse the odor control isn't nearly as good? Was there a change, and if so, why?

I like the litter, the cat's like it too but it's too expensive so I'll just keep using the glade tidy cats litter at least until the price comes down. You would think that because it's so much lighter & cheaper on shipping that it would be the same price or cheaper than the other Tidy Cat products!!!!

I bought this particular type of tidy cats because I wanted a fresh smell and I have always been pleased before. But I am absolutely disgusted with this product. It was a waste of money. It's impossible to scoop out of the litter box seeing how it gets sludgy and breaks into such small pieces I might as well just throw out the whole pan. Very disappointed. Would not ever recommend unless you like throwing money out the window. Plus it smells more like flowers dumped into bleach than anything.

I have been using Tidy Cats for years. It clumped well, which is my primary concern. This weekend, I picked up the new Glade formula, and unfortunately, if Purina does not go back to the original formula, I have to find a new cat litter. The smell is very strong--when my cats finally used it last night, the smell filtered through the house and into our bedroom--it was that strong! And it is not pleasant. It smells almost like a fake grape fruit punch smell. If it is offensive to me, I can only imagine how it must be for the cats, whose sense of smell is stronger than ours. Unfortunately, the clumping power seems to be reduced as well. The clumps fell apart when I tried to scoop them out, so now I have little black pieces in the litter, which are, ironically, what creates the foul odor most people were probably complaining of with the old formula. BTW, I never had an odor problem with the previous formula, but then, I clean the litter box every day. My guess is that those people who were complaining about the odor were not doing that, and my suggestion to the company would be to return to the old formula and tell customers who complain about odor to change their litter box every day...
