Long time user of a very good tire however ""brand"" is now driving price and quality, I think, has declined at least over the last 3-4 yrs on sets I've purchased my autos. The General tire brand was recommended by two friends. Very - very pleased with the ride comfort and quiet ride, two areas I have premium requirements

I have put 12,000 miles on these tires so far. They replaced Firestone ft140s on my 2016 civic. So far I am very pleased. They seem just as quiet comfortable, but have far superior traction in rain and wet roads.My gas mileage has remained pretty much the same.The Firestone's  seemed a touch more responsive in quick avoidance maneuvers though.

Although I don't drive as much anymore since getting these tires (pandemic-I'm sure that will change soon), I feel safe and my air pressure indicator light hasn't come on in months, which has been problematic in the past. I am pleased with these tires, though the ride is a little rougher than expected, but I think it's from lack of use, not quality.

Bought these tires 6 months ago and they are performing in correlation to all the positive reviews I read before making purchase. Two factors I looked for above other ratings were quiet ride and traction both in rain and moderate snow.  So I can report after a Cleveland winter I am more than satisfied and confident on highway that there will be dependable traction in both circumstances.

I have bought 2 sets of these for my 1997 Subaru Outback and they have been the best tires I have ever used here in Colorado for winter and summer driving. They ride smoothly and are quiet. If you have had problems with them it is most likely your vehicle has an issue. I highly recommend these tires after driving around 90K miles on 2 sets of them.

The Altimax RT43 is an excellent all season tire.  I used to buy Michelin and am becoming loyal to General Tire now.  Tires have a very nice soft ride and handling is outstanding.  When you compare to Michelin on a perfomance and price basis General Altimax win easily!

Have only had for about 5000 miles, but they seem to be considerably quieter and a smoother ride than with my previous tires.  May have even gotten a little better gas mileage with them.  Overall, I am very satisfied with them.  Will see how well they hold up.

I bought these tires last August, replacing a set of Michelin's on my Civic.   They have decent traction for Minnesota winters, but of course that will gradually decrease as they wear down.   I find them to be very quiet on the roads.  Cornering and breaking for normal driving seems just fine, but I have not stressed them to any degree yet.   Needless to say I was quite pleasantly surprised when I found out that the RT43's are rated at the top for this class of tire on Consumer Reports.

I bought these tires 2 months ago to replace the original tires on my Rav 4. Quite a difference, first I noticed that they were much quieter and the ride was smoother. Excellent traction in pouring down rain on High speed Highway. Drove from Pennsylvania to Illinois and back at high  speeds and had no problems.  Very pleased that my Auto Service  Manager recommended these tires.

Have had these for about a month, using on my 86 Mercedes 560SL.  So far I'm very impressed by the tires - fantastic handling, ride is smooth with very minimal road noise at all (a vast improvement over previous tires).  Will have to wait a year or two to assess the treadwear overall - but I'm really impressed, especially with the value here of quality versus price.
