Excellent tires

This is the second purchase of these tires first set went on an a 03 Toyota Echo. Ran on them for 3 yrs. So then bought a 14 Toyota Corolla have had them on for 8000 miles. Superb tires ran through the snow this past winter. I tell everyone I know you need to buy these tires.

Great ride, great value!

Have put about 7k on these tires on my Lexus LS.  They are quiet, they handle well and so great in the rain.  Can't speak about the snow.  Or about their longevity yet.  I got the T rated so there would be an extra 10k on the mileage warranty, my days of exceeding 118 mph are behind me.  :)    These tires rate in the top 3 or 4 in Consumer Reports and they are like 2 points only in rating behind the top Michelin Premier A/S.  At only 60-70% of the cost of the Michelin and with a longer tire warranty, I was persuaded to try them and I very pleased.

So far so good

Took the time to research product, wanted tires that were quiet ,long life and good traction. So far they have performed in all 3 areas after driving about 2000 miles, would give 5 star rating in time if they hold up. They make our 05 Scion Xb drive and handle like a new car.  Thank you General tire.

Not what I expected.

Purchased these tires based on the tire shop I've been using for 20 years. Salesman said they were great tires and he would recommend them. Normally they have never let me down with recommendations, but this was a horrible one. Tires are very loud and harder than any other tire I have purchased. The tires ride so hard that it makes pieces of my car rattle. I only have 1-2 thousand miles on them and it sounds like I have mudding tires on my car. I  would not recommend these tires to anyone.

EXCEPTIONAL!  Truly an All-Season Tire!

Aggressive tread pattern handles traction very well through ALL seasons here in western Pennsylvania with a surprisingly quiet ride.  Firm handling for good cornering, yet with a comfortable ride for highway bumps and the inevitable 'potholes' we catch in spring.  Would buy these again without hesitation.

Wore out after 40k miles

Purchased these in April of 2019, didn't realize there was no mileage warranty offered or so I'm told at the time I purchased. Now my tires need to be replaced and I am being told I'm out of luck. I'd hoped to get 3 to 4 years out of these tires not two.  They rode fine for the time I had them though.

Great tire for the money

I bought a set of these about 10 months ago because I knew I would be driving to Knoxville, TN twice during the summer and a lot around here and my old tires were showing their age too much to be safe at interstate speeds. They have proven to be a good choice.

Great all around tire.

This is the second set of these tires we have purchased.  The first set I put on my wife's car but we ended up selling that car shortly after so we didn't really have a chance to see how they would do in the long run.   When my wife's newer car needed tires we went with these again, different size though.  They are a great tire for the price and for being made in the USA.   They do great in the rain and do surprisingly very good in snow.  The only complaint if I had to give one is like other people have reported that on some surfaces the tires can be a little louder than a lot of other ones.   If the tire is a little louder due to a more aggressive tred pattern that got us through a lot of snow with hardly any slipping and great corning, there are no complaints.

Better then expected

I have been a Michelin buyer for years on all my cars. But with my 06 Charger having over a hundred thousand miles, I didn't feel the need or wanting to spend that much on a car I wasn't going to keep much longer. I was very surprised this winter with the way these tires handled, also very good in wet weather. Another good thing about these tires which is very important to me is road noise, and these tires are just as quiet as my Michelins were. You won't go wrong if you buy these tires.

99 TOYOTA CAMRY

I had Altimaxes on my last car, a 98 Corolla, that were wonderful and lasted forever. That's why I have them on my beautiful 1999 Camry. They are even longer lasting than they were on my Corolla.  The only negative I have, which is my reason for removing one star, has to do with the Tire Wear Monitor built into the tread. The problem is I don't want or need anything that tells me or possibly an overzealous inspector when my tires need changing out. I make that call... period!   Worn tires need to be replaced at the correct time, when things like funds are available, not at Xmas time, the tires with fresh date codes must be in stock, it's prior to Winter, when I have the time, etc. It's not like these well made tires will explode or lose all traction the day after a wear indicator shows through the tread. But if at inspection, an insector fails my car because the unnecessary tire indicator says ""REPLACE TIRE"", I'll be upset. Again. It's my call and my responsibility, so General... listen up.... instead of a useless tire wear monitor, just give the rubber back to the tire you removed to create the stupid monitor which will give it a bit more life.
