Here are some things to remember when planting your EZ Seed For Cool Season grasses like Bluegrass, Ryegrass, and different types of Fescues soil temperatures must be at least 55 degrees (+12.7 Celsius) for grass seed to germinate and can take between 4 -21 days to see germination. Warm season grasses like Bermudagrass, Centipede and Zoysia, which germinates in early summer, requires soil temperatures between 75 - 90 degrees (24 - 32 Celsius) and can take between 5-28 days to see visible germination. Watering also plays a defining factor in germination. A deep and thorough initial watering is the key to success with this product. When watering we suggest you keep applying water until the runoff is in excess. this can take several minutes as the product is highly absorbent. Avoid pooling the water. A puddle over the area may slow the products germination or even drown the seed. When the area begins to turn a light brown its time to water again. Also we like to advise out consumers to keep children, pets, and mowers out of the treated area until the grass germinates up to three inches.
