[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used this product for years. It's easy to use along with Scott's lawnsoil with Starter fertilizer. Takes a little for grass to get going but once it does it fills in and is nice and green You just need to water it properly. Keep it moist

Interesting reviews. This may be part of the issue? I do not see any discussion on pre emergent fertilization use with new grass seed?? Scott’s seems to be missing this issue in their comment and disclosure for proper use? Maybe I missed it, but I have always been told once you put a Crabgrass pre emergent on your lawn your ability to grow grass stops. You have to wait till fall. Scott’s, please address and insure this situation is in your instructions, if a true statement for all your customers.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the Scott's EZseed in an area that we just had an underground downspout installed so the soil was nice and loose as indicated in the directions. It's been a full 2 wks since applying and the new grass is about 1 inch tall now. The first week daytime temps were btwn 60 and 80, although nights were still cool. Watered everyday with a water can to keep moist. I was worried in the 2nd week as we had colder temps and continuous rain - sometimes hard rain - but the seedlings still sprouted and all looks promising. Just a side note; a portion of this area stays shaded but all seems to be growing evenly. So patch and repair really does grow in both sun and shade!

Larger areas I think I'd prefer regular seed, but still works quickly. I just put it down the day before vacation, came back 6 days later and it started filling in well.
