Ez seed fail

I bought the 40lb bag of ez seed, followed the directions exactly, and nearly two weeks later all I have is piles of dead seeds. Total waste.

Phabio, we're sorry to hear Scotts EZ Seed didn't perform as expected. For best results, temperatures should be consistently between 60-80 degrees. Reach out to us here for assistance with our product guarantee: https://tinyurl.com/y8nvfsca

We are sorry for the disappointment you have experienced with the results of your recent seeding effort. I'd like to offer a few tips that may be helpful to you in future seeding endeavors. As with any seed product, ScottsEZ Seed Sun & Shade requires both continuous moisture and warm soil temperatures. When one of these conditions is missing, poor germination is the result. Be sure to spread the EZ Seed Sun & Shade evenly over the prepared area. EZ Seed Sun & Shade should be sparsely applied to the depth of about 1/16" to 1/8" thick. If EZ Seed Sun & Shade has been applied too thickly, germination will be poor. Also, make sure that no weed control or weed prevention product has been used where you are seeding, as those products will also prevent or inhibit germination of the seed. When used on newly germinated lawns, herbicides will kill off the new grass Temperature plays a critical role in seedling germination. Soil temperatures for northern (cool season) type turfgrass seed (Kentucky bluegrass, ryegrass, and fescue) must be at least 55° F for seed to germinate. For best results, daytime temperatures must typically be in the 60-80°F. range and not going below 50°F at night. We want you to be confident in our products. For this reason, we offer a product guarantee to our consumers. At your earliest convenience please contact us to see what can be done. Performance NOT as advertised doesn't work when directions followed.

Large bag used in accordence with instructions and watered daily in hot weather , followed by rainy weather. 1 month later, nothing. Waste of money and my time.

Results?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m still waiting to see the seeding grow. It’s been 2-3 weeks and I followed the instructions. I believe this product will produce better results in very small patches.

This product is the best product ever!

I have tried for 15 years to grow grass in my backyard. I live in an area where the soil is very bad and Sandy, and I cannot believe the beautiful yard this product gave me.

Easy and convenient to use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Seeded with this last September. It sprouted on schedule. It has been s tough winter here in Mass so I'm looking forward to seeing if my spots survived the winter.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have quite a few areas in our lawn that I used this product on, and within one week had grass start to grow and now is merging with our existing grass. Thank you
