I have used this product in previous years but this occasion it did not give me the same results. I prepared the bare spots before sprinkling the containers seed mixture and watered in for several weeks but nothing grew. Not sure if the product was old, out of date, mixed differently, or my preparation was inadequate. Hoping for Better results next time.

I have tried for two years to get grass to grow even putting black dirt in the holes. The fertilizer built into this product and the spring rains have quickly filled in my bare spots.

Using this product, I was able to re-establish healthy grass in areas that needed some extra attention. Seed germinated quickly and grew into strong grass that I was able to cut after about 2-3 weeks. Good product.

It seemed simple to apply and Scott has a great reputation for their projects to perform well. I was not disappointed. This product did as it was advertised. Easy to apply in the bare spots, water and it didn’t take long to start growing. It was formulated to work well, fill in with good quality grass. It worked!! I’m happy with the results.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I get great results without having to constantly keep watering. Once a day is fine and it does well even if you forget a couple of days. Make sure you loosen the soil at least two inches. Its very important to keep watering after the grass fills in!!!!! The highest quality seeds germinate last so keep lightly watering the area until you mow a few times.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the Scotts® EZ Seed® Patch & Repair Tall Fescue Lawns a few weeks ago and the seed went down easy and came out looking great. Overall this is a awesome product if you have some spots you need to repair.

Recently I bought two bags of this product (one of 20 and another of 40 Lbs). The project I had in mind was very important that even I bought 3 yards of top soil to make sure everything turned out correctly. Viewing videos about this product convinced me to buy it because it seemed easy to use. I did all this on 9/23. A week later I could see that the area where I applied the content of the 20-pound bag began to sprout but was not consistent. 27 days later I'm still waiting for results from the content of the 40 pounds bag. I made sure not to mix the two bags and follow all directions. But I think this only works in small areas.

Used this multiple times to patch areas of a newly seeded lawn. Mine could have been out of date but it was dead when it hit the soil. No sprouting, growth.. Anything.. Tried clear poly-sheeting to raise the temperature and humidity to no avail. Went back to the old, "good local seed, good soil and peat moss cover method", and everything got back on track. It's a great idea, but I think it needs to be localized more to specific growing zones. Probably something that a local warehouse store could give a rip about..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live in Northwestern Pa. and used this product to fill in some bare spots in my yard the first week of April. I watered daily and some times twice a day to keep the ground moist. The weather here was all over the map, from 28 degree nights to 75 degree days. But by the third week of April the grass stared filling in and by the end of April I was mowing those spots. A great product to use for many different climates. And the best part it has the seed, mulch, and fertilizer all in one easy to use container.
