Just like any of the Scotts products, following the directions is the key to success. I've used this for several years and never had a problem. This seed acts fast & fills in fast & that should make you Happy.

I wasn't sure which product to use this time so I bought the EZ Seed once again and a bag Scotts top soil to mix into the soil. I also bought a bag of Scotts Patch Master. After 3 weeks, the EZ Seed didn't produce a single grass stalk. The Patch Master produced grass over 90% of the applied area! See photo's attached

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] used this to fill some bare spots from last summer. Put it down late fall but with the warm wet winter in nj the product did start to grow. The water absorption additive makes it a simple process with minimal watering.

We completely wasted $80 by spending more money and going wtih the "big name" in yard care to make sure our grass looked nice. Followed the directions on the bag to the tee, watered everyday, had the area properly prepared, and the bare spots on the ground look the same today, as they did on April 19 when I seeded. An absolute complete waste, and I will never pay the premium for a Scotts product again. Scotts should put more money into the R&D of their product and not so much into their marketing. Now today I get to spend more time and money putting down top soil and traditional seed, which in hindsight I should of done from the beginning. Don't waste your time or money on this "magic" product, it doesn't workk as advertised.

I solved the problem by installing 4 X 4 lighted posts on the edge of my lawn adjoining the street. Once installed I filled the ruts with Miracle Gro top soil and spread Scott’s EZ Seed - this fast growing patch filled in the ruts with thick luscious grass in no time flat. If you need a quick patch for your lawn, you can’t go wrong with Scott’s EZ Seed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The product is reasonably price considering it virtually guarantees you grass! It is easy to use, just follow the directions and you will be amazed. It has never failed once for me. Much better than other products on the market.

This was the second time in as many warm seasons that I decided to try EZ Seed Patch and Repair. Thinking that I might have gotten a bad container the first time I tried again this year. Followed the directions to the T watering 3 and 4 times a day. NOTHING - NOTHING. Absolutely NO evidence of the "mulch expanding 4X to cover the seed. These patches were scraped and then filled with topsoil with a growing medium before adding this product. Again NOTHING!

Comes in fast and solid; heavy rain did not wash away at all. I put down some extra product around the edges of the spots and you can barely see where it was!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is excellent for a number of problem areas on a lawn - especially for a sloping area where there is water runoff. The seed is designed to "hold" onto the soil and germinate. I have had a lot of success with the product and it produced a nice, lush green lawn!

I like that is has all the ingredients that you need to repair a bare spot. And it keeps the seed moist because I don't always have the time to water every day.
