[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Scotts ez seed is just as it says EZ. All you have to do is remove all thatch, shake the seed out onto the ground. Done! Everything is included, seed, fertilizer and cover included in container. You can even tell when you need to water by the color of the area after it is applied. The grass looks great from the seed.

Bought the 10 lb. bag of Scotts ez seed tall fescue lawns. Applied it per the directions in several bare spots in our yard due to various projects. It did not come up in any of the areas applied. All of them were full sun to partial shade areas. It has been a very rainy season here and I watered the seeds. After a couple of weeks went by I re-seeded again with Scotts and watered and waited but again nothing grew in any of the areas. On the third try I prepared the soil again and applied some cheap grass seeds I had left over from a couple of years ago and within a week I had grass coming up. I have no idea what happened to my bag of Scotts but I will not buy this product again.

I have always used Scotts products on my lawn. During the winter of 2013-2014 we had quite a bit of grass that died over the winter. We decided to use Scotts EZ Seed to fill in where the grass had died. When the grass finally started to grow in the spring of 2014 (we live in Wyoming so it took awhile to get get warm enough for the grass to start growing) it came in great. Nice and thick and green. Last summer my lawn looked the best that it has ever looked. That is the good news. That bad news is that all the grass that we planted last spring died this past winter. It was only the grass that we planted in the spring that died. The grass that survived the previous winter also survived this past winter. I am enclosing several photos, starting with what the lawn looked like in the summer of 2013 and after the grass had died in 2014. Then there are several photos that show how good the grass came in during the spring and summer of 2014 and then finally a photo of what the lawn looks like today (spring 2015). Maybe you could offer some advice and what went wrong. We are deciding on how to approach the lawn this year. Try seeding it again or maybe try laying sod.

Bought this 3 weeks ago to fill in a couple bare spots in my lawn, and it ended up being nothing but straight crabgrass. Now I have an even worse problem with a TON of crabgrass spreading all over my front lawn and it looks absolutely horrible. Just wanted to fill in a few bare spots and ended up with a terrible crabgrass filled front lawn that looks exponentially worse than before I added the Scott’s EZ Seed. Would give 0 stars if I could. DO NOT USE and avoid this stuff like the plague

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the product at the end of the Fall season, and immediately applied the EZ seed to bare spots on my lawn. In particular, I am trying to repair spots in the yard resulting from pet ownership. The affected areas were raked out, and EZ seed applied. Application was easy. Since it was applied at he end of the season, I have not seen full results. I believe that EZ Seed will be especially useful in addressing my particular application, that is small affected areas where pets have affected the lawn. . I look forward to these results.

I bought 4 jugs of this stuff (NOT CHEAP!) to fix various bare spots in my lawn, some of it seemed to grow ok, I watered 2x per day followed the directions on the label but after 30 days it began to wither away. It seemed like the grass roots never entered the soil. My neighbor bought this tool called the Grass Stitcher, I used that on the still bare spots and it worked fantastic! I'm buying one of those this fall.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I get a 5' x 2' bare spot on my front lawn every summer caused by the sun's reflection from one of my large windows. The grass gets burned up and by early fall there is just a patch of compact dirt. I have irrigation but the magnifying effect of the window is just too much for the grass to handle. I usually use Scotts Turfbuilder Lawn Soil and Scotts Pacific Northwest Mix for repairs and it does it great job. This year however I was offered a chance to try out Scotts EZ Seed Patch & Repair through the Root program. It was very easy to use and all I did was rough up the bare patch with a metal rake and sprinkle the Scotts EZ Seed Patch & Repair over the area. I kept the area lightly watered and in about 10 days little green spikes were starting to poke through the absorbent growing material. Within 3 weeks the grass was long enough to mow and after 3 mowings the patch had completely blended into the existing grass. The quality of the grass is very nice and the whole process required minimal effort.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would recomend this product to friends and family, I used it in an area where I had a swing hanging from a tree and since the kids would use it grass never seem to grow there. When I applied the eZ seed, grass grew right away and never seemed to die. two thumbs up to that.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My dogs must have some of the most toxic urine on the planet, but their urine is no match for the ez-seed patch and repair product from Scotts. We no longer allow our dogs to be in the front yard for very long, because I want my lawn to look great for the neighborhood. This product was easy to apply, and has lasted for a year now.
