[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used this product several times and it never lets me down. What I really like is that I work all day and on regular grass seed I can't keep it watered enough to get good results. This product lets me give it a good soaking in the late afternoon and holds enough moisture to last throughout the next day. Rye grass comes up quickly and with the mulch it allows the fescue to germinate also, with other products you have to keep soaking 2-3 times a day for up to a month.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had to take some small plants out of the way because they were in the way when I mowed ( slipped and bruised my ribs in Oct trying to avoid them) put down the EZ seed as per directions. rained that night, and then sunshine and then rain. Filled in the spots perfectly used something other than Scotts the last time and bad results will do over with scotts.

My front yard receives considerable shade. At the end of last summer the lawn developed many bare spots. I thought it was a hopeless situation. I purchased Scotts EZ seed this spring and began filling in the bare patches. After 8 days the seed was sprouting. I now have a gorgeous looking lawn. This product is so EZ to use with the mulch and fertilizer mixed with the seeds. I love, love, love this product. Thank you Scotts!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I followed the directions and it's very easy to apply. Just be sure to keep it moist, but not too moist. It just takes some time and patience, but eventually you get the grass you were looking for. Apply it wherever you want.

I have always used Scotts products on my lawn. During the winter of 2013-2014 we had quite a bit of grass that died over the winter. We decided to use Scotts EZ Seed to fill in where the grass had died. When the grass finally started to grow in the spring of 2014 (we live in Wyoming so it took awhile to get get warm enough for the grass to start growing) it came in great. Nice and thick and green. Last summer my lawn looked the best that it has ever looked. That is the good news. That bad news is that all the grass that we planted last spring died this past winter. It was only the grass that we planted in the spring that died. The grass that survived the previous winter also survived this past winter. I am enclosing several photos, starting with what the lawn looked like in the summer of 2013 and after the grass had died in 2014. Then there are several photos that show how good the grass came in during the spring and summer of 2014 and then finally a photo of what the lawn looks like today (spring 2015). Maybe you could offer some advice and what went wrong. We are deciding on how to approach the lawn this year. Try seeding it again or maybe try laying sod.

I bought 4 jugs of this stuff (NOT CHEAP!) to fix various bare spots in my lawn, some of it seemed to grow ok, I watered 2x per day followed the directions on the label but after 30 days it began to wither away. It seemed like the grass roots never entered the soil. My neighbor bought this tool called the Grass Stitcher, I used that on the still bare spots and it worked fantastic! I'm buying one of those this fall.

Bought this product to reseed lawn full of bare spots due to grubs. First raked out old grass, sticks etc. and loosened remaining dirt. Sprinkled Scott ‘s product , as recommended, to just cover exposed soil. Then sprinkled top soil over top of product to just cover it. This kept birds from eating seed, wind and lawn mowers from blowing it away, and rain and water from moving seed. Watered twice a day. Saw first blades of grass at about 4-5 days. After about 3 weeks, grass had grown in so well, I couldn’t tell new growth with existing lawn. Great!

Right now I'm using this product and the mulch stays wet in warm temperatures! I'm hoping the seed germination will happen in 5-7 days. It was told to me that Scott's EZ Seed works in cooler temperatures! If not I was going to wait until next spring to use this product! I'll wait and see what's going to happen! I bought this product last year and the results were very fast! My decision to buy this product again was to fill the dead spots on my family's front lawn. I haven't had to water the spots everyday because the weather is not hot and it's Fall!

Well, I did everything that the instructions said and also used teh on line chat. I bought two EZ's for my lawn. (expensive) I Have watered and still no grass. Maybe it takes more than 10 days. Easy to distribute and great concept if it actually worked. Right now disappointed. Should see some results. I overseed and put on bare spots as directed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the product at the end of the Fall season, and immediately applied the EZ seed to bare spots on my lawn. In particular, I am trying to repair spots in the yard resulting from pet ownership. The affected areas were raked out, and EZ seed applied. Application was easy. Since it was applied at he end of the season, I have not seen full results. I believe that EZ Seed will be especially useful in addressing my particular application, that is small affected areas where pets have affected the lawn. . I look forward to these results.
