Good product would recomend

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would recomend this product to friends and family, I used it in an area where I had a swing hanging from a tree and since the kids would use it grass never seem to grow there. When I applied the eZ seed, grass grew right away and never seemed to die. two thumbs up to that.

Did not work for me

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried this twice and did not have good results either time. I used it as directed.to cover a few spots in my yard. The reason I tried twice I have used Scotts products for many years and thought that maybe the first package was old and had been on the shelf to long.

We are sorry that multiple applications of Scotts Turf Builde EZ Seed Sun & Shade Mix did not germinate. Be sure to spread the EZ Seed Sun & Shade evenly over the prepared area. EZ Seed Sun & Shade should be sparsely applied to the depth of about 1/16" to 1/8" thick. If EZ Seed Sun & Shade has been applied too thickly, germination will be poor. Also, make sure that no weed control or weed prevention product has been used where you are seeding, as those products will also prevent or inhibit germination of the seed. When used on newly germinated lawns, herbicides will kill off the new grass. I hope these extra tips are helpful. Temperature plays a critical role in seedling germination. Soil temperatures must be at least 55° F for seed to germinate. For best results, daytime temperatures must typically be in the 60-80°F. range and not going below 50°F at night. Seeds will not germinate if the temperatures are cold at night, or are fluctuating from high day temperature to very low night time temperatures. The best time to seed cool season grasses is early to mid-fall. We want you to be confident in our products. For this reason, we offer a product guarantee to our consumers. Great for yard repairs!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a yellow lab that burns my lawn with his urine. I use the EZ seed everytime to repair these spots and it does a great job. My wife won't let me get rid of the dog so this is the second best thing. Grows back a thick green patch that matches my lawn; love it. A little expensive but well worth it.

Best ever

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this product very often. It is the best to fill in the bare spots in my lawn. I especially like it because it is so easy to use. In no time at all the grass comes up and the lawn looks beautiful. I would recommend Scott’s patch and repair to everyone with this problem.

Tried this product on some patch area - doing good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Brought this awhile ago for some areas of patch grass in your yard - so far it’s done a pretty good job. The grass is coming back slowly and not to much of a mess. Hope it keeps growing, just seems to be a slow growing back.

Turf Builder EZ Seed

I recently moved and my new place had an overgrown weedbed for a front lawn. I dug up all the weeds, raked a little top soil over the area then spread the Turf Builder EZ Seed. In one week I had grass popping up over the entire surface. My neighbors were all impressed and made comments about how great my yard looked. I think EZ Seed is a "miracle in a hurry" and I will always use and recommend this product.

Three weeks+ and still only sparse growth. Disappointed!

I planted EZ seed in well-prepared ground more than three weeks ago, and have watered and monitored it consistently ever since. There are now still only patches of grass, mostly bare ground and the weeds have pretty much filled in the rest. I am sorely disappointed! I have added regular grass seed to the areas now hoping that something will grow to fill in the bare spots. I would like my money back - is the product "Guaranteed to grow?" because it has not. LOOK AT THE PICTURES and see for yourself.

We are sorry that you did not get the germination that you expected from Scotts Turf Builder EZ Seed. As with any seed product, Scotts EZ Seed Sun & Shade requires both continuous moisture and warm soil temperatures. Easy Seed Make For Easy Work

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Recently had some street work done in front of the house which necessitated removing the curb and putting in a new curb, dirt and grass seed. Contractor did all of that work, but the grass came up sparsely and full of weeds. EZ SEED to the rescue. Every where I used this product it has come up quickly, thick and without any weeds. Love how it works!

Repaired all the bare spot under our trees

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Scotts EZ Seed Patch and Repair Sun and Shade is the only product that gave us the results we needed to grow grass under all the trees around the perimeter of our property. The instructions were easy to follow and withing a few weeks all the bare spots were gone. I would recommend this Scott product to anyone who has bare spots due to shade.

This product has GREAT features and GREAT Results

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product was very easy to use. I added some new top soil to the spots, then followed the directions and it took approximately 2 weeks for the grass to come up. Very happy with the end result. You can't go wrong with a Scotts product
