The plastic container with the handle was nice. No lugging a bag around and trying to scoop handfuls of seed out. I was waiting until the end of the heat wave to put this out so it hasn't started growing yet but I did get nice even coverage with it.

After the prep work is done in the area, I got the container out, sprinkled on the seed and watered lightly. The grass started to grow nicely and now looks great. Would recommend this product to anyone who wants their lawn to look good.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a female, black lab for 15 years who wreaked havoc on my lawn. Every spring there would be dead patches of grass. Four years ago (maybe longer - - I've been using EZ Seed since they first came out with it) I started my spring patching with EZ Seed. I LOVE IT. #1 it is easy to apply. For me the less muss and the less fuss the better. You simply prep. your bare patches by raking the soil to loosen it up, which only takes minimum effort, and then you shake some EZ Seed onto the patch, spray the patches with water and viola - - the job is complete. #2 This seed grows so quickly. I didn't really believe the claims but I had grass sprouts within a week and a half or so. #3 The grass that grows from the seed needs little watering and is very lush, green and hearty. Oh and #4 it is so easy to know when to water the EZ Seed - when the patch material becomes light brown you water it. No more over or underwatering. This product is so easy to use, your 5-year old could do it. To recap: it is easy to apply, grows quickly, needs little watering, results in green lush grass and is easy to tend to until the grass grows. Since I started using EZ Seed I've never used anything else. It does what Scott's says it does.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a yellow lab that burns my lawn with his urine. I use the EZ seed everytime to repair these spots and it does a great job. My wife won't let me get rid of the dog so this is the second best thing. Grows back a thick green patch that matches my lawn; love it. A little expensive but well worth it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this a few weeks ago to repair some minor spots on my lawn caused by our long winter. The product was Great! I simply loosened the soil and shook it out onto the spot and watered. Once the material was wetted it puffed up a bit covering the seed. It seemed to sprout up quickly and filled in the spot. Great product and simple to use!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having used Scotts for many years I was intrigued by an all in one grass seed. Needless to say I have been more than satisfied with the Patch and Repair. It is easy to apply, requires minimum follow-up other than watering, but don't expect instant results. To fill in my bare spots took about 4-5 weeks but the results were great. I must confess that after three weeks with little result, I was becoming skeptical. But with time the product performed well and the bare spots no longer exist. I have used Patch and Repair since and the results have been consistently good.

This is the second year I have used it. As long as it is kept wet until the grass starts growing, it is fine. I like the way the color turns a different brown. Seemed to work better this year with all the extra rain we got. Just brought more to do fall seeding. Also works better if spread thinly.
