[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this product. By chance some gasoline dripped on my lawn when I was pressure washing my driveway. It killed my grass. I applied Scotts easy seed to the spot I and within seven days I had grass growing again. This product is so simple and easy anybody can use it. Just apply it, water, you have grass.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got a noticeable bare spot in my yard right off the back patio. I have tried several methods to fill it in utilizing basic seed before winter. NO LUCK!!! So I decided to try this product, Scotts® EZ Seed® Sun & Shade (New Formula) to fix this issue. I did as directed and within no time I had green grass shooting up out of the dirt. Right now I got to let it go to seed to ensure good root formation. I like that the super-absorbent growing material absorbs water easily and provides what is necessary to complete the task at hand. (GROW GRASS!!)

After the prep work is done in the area, I got the container out, sprinkled on the seed and watered lightly. The grass started to grow nicely and now looks great. Would recommend this product to anyone who wants their lawn to look good.

i got 6 of these and they grow very nicely. after 6 to 8 weeks the gress just died off. i like scotts but this stuff is no good. your blue grass and pa mix grow better. after spending over 200 on grass seed and starter fertilizer i have very little grass. i just started new grass last week and things are looking good so far.

This grew very well, took about seven to ten days to start sprouting. One thing I will say is the top soil you use definitely matters. I was filling in an 80sqft section on one side of my front walk. I had been doing some work in the back and used half of a bag of Miracle Grow garden top soil which was left over, and then some cheap stuff I had planned to use to fill in some other areas out back. The spots I used the Miracle Grow top soil did great, came in lush and full. The spots I didn't use it, didn't. Blades here and there but not looking good. I knew I was going to have an issue pretty early on, because the cheap top soil would become dry and nearly rock hard while the Miracle Grow seemed to retain moisture better and would never end up like concrete. Pretty sure it's going to be tough for baby sprouts to get any roots into that stuff. So yeah, I would recommend testing in a small area with good top soil of your choice and you won't have any issues. Had I only used the cheap stuff I would have probably been giving a bad review, not realizing I all but made it impossible for anything to grow.

I love most Scott's products but this by far is the worst. I applied as directed and a couple of mnths ago and it still looks the same, I am going to get some sod patches and fill in the bair spots. Scott's always puts out quality material, but I am a firm believer that is one is a bust

brought two containers of this product and used one and a half of them. Followed directions and not one blade of grass grew! took back the unused container for my money back but the retailer would only give my money back on one because I had already tossed the first one. Very disappointed in the product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product not only works, it is as the name suggests "easy" too use. Everything you need is in the container. Just ruff up the patch spot, sprinkle and water. Done! The grass will grow and your bare spot will be fixed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this product as part of a free promotion and used it in late April. 6 weeks later and the bare spots have filled in nicely. We have had a lot of rain this spring so that helped. Plan is to water that area thoroughly once a week throughout the summer.
