seems to work okay on small spots. Doesn't seem to work well on larger areas(3' x 4'). Thought maybe 1st container was an issue. 2nd container not much better(purchased from different vendor). Sparse growth. Even some small spots not germinating. Similar problems with this product last year. Old fashion seeding with seed, peat moss, etc. works the best.

We followed all the directions... Not only did this not grow ANYWHERE, when we watered it as directed, there was NO SEED INSIDE THE FERTILIZER!!!!!!! It dissolved completely and washed up into the edges of our new sod. And if anyone knows about SOD you're not to use fertilizer on new sod. So all of the edges of grass died because this stuff touched it. It never grew, it didn't do a single thing all these months later. I would get a refund but I do not have the container anymore. Waste of money.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product as sample to test last fall. It was to late to provide honest feedback because temps were already freezing at night. I planted it in a shaded spot that we have had a hard time getting grass to grow. Since it was so late in the season I over seeded the area after loosening the soil an 1" deep. Planted per package instructions and water accordingly. I was surprised to see that the seed germinated and was filling in nicely. Then it snowed and snowed. I figured that it was done. To my pleasant surprise this spring it filled the bare area with a deep rich green grass even though our temperature has been 10 degrees below normal and our rainfall is a record setting 21.09" when our yearly norm is 11". I highly recommend this grass.

I had construction on my property which destroyed the back yard. Normal seed takes too long to germinate so I used EZ SEED. It worked as described. The grass starns seemed to be thinner than other grass. I let the grass grow for four weeks before cutting. The plastic jug container never seem to be full but the smaller bag seems to be a good value. I was happy with the product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had multiple bare spots in my lawn that required reseeding. Although it was late fall, our whether in WI has been unseasonably warm. I decided to give the grass seed a try. Although it took a little longer for the seed to sprout, due to cool nights, the grass did begin growing and all bare spots have completely filled in. I can't wait until spring to see how nice my lawn looks now that it is filled in. The ease-of-use and the water retention factor of this product really makes it simple to use, with great results. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my 3rd year of using EZ seed. There wasn't much snow here this winter and with a dog on the premises there were many brown places this spring and EZ seed is a huge help in taking care of those. I highly recommend it!

After buying numerous bags of seed, I finally splurged on this stuff and I’m glad I did! We had a shed installed in our backyard and the delivery truck killed our lawn. I sprinkled this stuff on, and grass grew within a week! I love the brown color feature of the seed, it’s dummy proof for people like me who tend to water too much or too little. When I saw the seed turn light brown, I gave it a good soak and went about my business. Easy! Only negative is I wish more clover was included in the mix, a sustainable lawn is important to me. Can’t recommend this stuff enough!

Had a bush removed & used this to regrow the grass. *We didn't know after you remove a bush that you should add soil and then add seed. We just used the EZ-GROW product watered & hoped for the best. The grass grew in beautifully! I've also used it on the sides of my driveway where we occasionally drive on the grass during the winter. Grew nicely as well. So, I plan on using it again on the area a tree was removed..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this product every year as a I have 2 dogs and come spring I have quite a few brown patches. I clear out the dead spots add a little top soil and the grass grows right back. Very pleased with the results.
