Right now I'm using this product and the mulch stays wet in warm temperatures! I'm hoping the seed germination will happen in 5-7 days. It was told to me that Scott's EZ Seed works in cooler temperatures! If not I was going to wait until next spring to use this product! I'll wait and see what's going to happen! I bought this product last year and the results were very fast! My decision to buy this product again was to fill the dead spots on my family's front lawn. I haven't had to water the spots everyday because the weather is not hot and it's Fall!

I bought 3 containers last year. It initially all came up, beautiful but when got hot in August it all died!! I watered everyday to keep it green but still all died!!! Tripled my water bill. Like the rest who are unhappy, it cost alot and especially when on disability!!

I ran out of my good grass seed. This was readily available. I will never use this product again. Not one single blade of grass from the entire container! The good quality seed right next to where this was used grew quickly and thick. Same sun, shade, water, dirt, etc. I have not been a fan of scotts brand for years, this has turned me against the products for good.

I LOVE this product! I just spread it down, watered it, and BAM!!!! The grass seeds grew just as promised. The only problem I had were the ducks in my yard trying to eat up the seeds, but I will DEFINITELY be using this for the rest of my yard. LOVE IT! Thanks, Scotts!!!

I bought this a few months ago. I used it on a 6 x 10 ft area. After about 2 weeks it started to grow. Then after about 5 weeks the entire area was a full lush green lawn. Now here I am about 13 weeks later and it's all starting to die. I water my lawn pretty regularly. The rest of my lawn looks great. But this one 6 x 10 ft patch that I used this product on is all dying away and there is nothing I can do to prevent it. What a waste of money. And the seeds are not cheap.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I always look for product that I can use to do patch work in the spring in Minnesota and winter can tear up a lawn and I found by far this to be one of the best out there and there is alot of products of this nature on the market. It will hold the water for a good amount of time too I know alot of the same type of repair systems will dry out and nothing grows and you have to start all over again. Its a great product and I would recommend this to anyone who needs a good product for patch work in the spring or anytime. John West St Paul MN

I have always used Scotts products on my lawn. During the winter of 2013-2014 we had quite a bit of grass that died over the winter. We decided to use Scotts EZ Seed to fill in where the grass had died. When the grass finally started to grow in the spring of 2014 (we live in Wyoming so it took awhile to get get warm enough for the grass to start growing) it came in great. Nice and thick and green. Last summer my lawn looked the best that it has ever looked. That is the good news. That bad news is that all the grass that we planted last spring died this past winter. It was only the grass that we planted in the spring that died. The grass that survived the previous winter also survived this past winter. I am enclosing several photos, starting with what the lawn looked like in the summer of 2013 and after the grass had died in 2014. Then there are several photos that show how good the grass came in during the spring and summer of 2014 and then finally a photo of what the lawn looks like today (spring 2015). Maybe you could offer some advice and what went wrong. We are deciding on how to approach the lawn this year. Try seeding it again or maybe try laying sod.

Keeping it moist, the seed germinated quite quickly. The nice things about it is that the seed stays in place and comes in thick. I've been very happy with this product.

I must of purchased at least 10 of these to use to fill in bare patches and followed directions to the letter. Grass grew and looked quite nice.The problem was, after the winter, there was no more grass and the bare patches are right back again. It seems like it's just a temporary grass and does not last. My neighbor had the same issues. Very disappointed and costly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After doing some house remodeling, we ended up with a few bare patches on the back lawn where saw horses were placed. We tried the EZ Patch and Repair and with a little extra water, the bare spots filled in within 2 weeks. Amazing results!
