[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I get a 5' x 2' bare spot on my front lawn every summer caused by the sun's reflection from one of my large windows. The grass gets burned up and by early fall there is just a patch of compact dirt. I have irrigation but the magnifying effect of the window is just too much for the grass to handle. I usually use Scotts Turfbuilder Lawn Soil and Scotts Pacific Northwest Mix for repairs and it does it great job. This year however I was offered a chance to try out Scotts EZ Seed Patch & Repair through the Root program. It was very easy to use and all I did was rough up the bare patch with a metal rake and sprinkle the Scotts EZ Seed Patch & Repair over the area. I kept the area lightly watered and in about 10 days little green spikes were starting to poke through the absorbent growing material. Within 3 weeks the grass was long enough to mow and after 3 mowings the patch had completely blended into the existing grass. The quality of the grass is very nice and the whole process required minimal effort.

I use the EZseed to fix the many spots that my dog leaves behind. It works great! You do have to keep an eye on it and water it when needed but that's the same with any seed. This tends to work faster and thicker in any condition. Great product but a little pricey!

Guess what. Didn't work again. I have always liked Scott's products in the past but this one I definitely do not.

I used EZ Seed for Sun & Shade to patch an area of my backyard that was denuded when my Patio was repaved. I initially planned to sod the area, but saw the EZ Seed at the garden center and decided to try it. I have tried patch products before that did not work. I applied EZ Seed and saw grass sprouts within 2 weeks, It is now 4 weeks since I poured EZ Seed on the area and I have grass about 2" tall. I have told several family members and neighbors about my experience with EZ Seed and they are trying it. Thank you for a product that works!

The 3 steps listed on the labeling assured easy application and follow up watering. Once the weather remains at a constant 60 plus, I look forward to seeing the areas fully filled in.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having two dogs that think the world is their bathroom creates lot of small dead spots on the lawn. I tried the product and within five days I saw the areas starting to shown new growth. You need to keep the area moist so that the seed gets a good chance to get started.

after spreading beautifully what i noticed was dusty mulchy dirt mixed with a few stray grass seeds nothing grew but for a few blades of grass in a tiny section of my lawn. total waste of time tenderly keeping off the lawn, watering and watching - very dissatisfied.

I had a problem area around my sidewalk could never get grass to grow and live for any length of time. I followed the instructions and it worked. I planted the seed in March and after 6 or 7 months it still growing full no bare spots looks great the wife loves it and will get more for any problem areas in the yard. Very pleased with the results.

It seemed simple to apply and Scott has a great reputation for their projects to perform well. I was not disappointed. This product did as it was advertised. Easy to apply in the bare spots, water and it didn’t take long to start growing. It was formulated to work well, fill in with good quality grass. It worked!! I’m happy with the results.
