Cold weather and all. Started to notice grass within 7 days or so. This is a great product in the spring , summer and fall!! I would definitely buy this again!!!

I watered it once a day and in 10 days I have pics that show how nice this filled in. Again, this is a 10 day later pic! Simply great seed that fills in perfectly with my lawn in west central Ohio.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hoped this product would effectively address the bare spots in the lawn. Unfortunately I did not find it to work. In fact the combination of fertilizer, seed and mulch seemed to be too much for what I was hoping to achieve: the lawn spots to fill in. I use Scotts seeds alone now and find them to be effective with simple watering.

After the prep work is done in the area, I got the container out, sprinkled on the seed and watered lightly. The grass started to grow nicely and now looks great. Would recommend this product to anyone who wants their lawn to look good.

I read a lot of reviews below that stated this didn't work for them. Maybe they had a bad batch, but for me, this stuff was magic in a container! I prepared my soil according to the directions, spread it evenly (in areas of full sun and shade), watered twice a day, and in a week the results have been insane, an inch of beautiful green blades sprouting in all of the areas I put it down. I'm repairing an area where I removed a tree, which is a difficult task. I seeded and fertilized 2 different times in that area, which produced nothing in a month's time. It's hard growing grass in an area a tree used to reside, due to PH changes in the soil, this was going to be my last try until putting seed down in the fall to try again next year. I'm now hopeful I won't have to go the rest of summer with an eyesore in the middle of my front yard. Thanks Scotts!

I never write reviews and this was warranted: I bought over 100$ worth of product to seed a 20' by 20' area and with in 3 weeks my yard was 100% covered from edge to edge in nothing but weeds. I'd say less than 1% was actually grass seed. I tried watering what my previous yard was for a month or two and sure I had a few weeds here and there but I would pick them by hand on the weekends and nothing really grew in so I decided to reseed. Once I put the seed down everything grew just fine but it was ALL WEEDS. My neighbor bought the same bags from the same store and he had the exact same results. It's clear that it came from the see because of how patchy it is and there are no weeds where I didn't lay down seed. At a loss for how terrible this product is.
