[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my 3rd year of using EZ seed. There wasn't much snow here this winter and with a dog on the premises there were many brown places this spring and EZ seed is a huge help in taking care of those. I highly recommend it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a female, black lab for 15 years who wreaked havoc on my lawn. Every spring there would be dead patches of grass. Four years ago (maybe longer - - I've been using EZ Seed since they first came out with it) I started my spring patching with EZ Seed. I LOVE IT. #1 it is easy to apply. For me the less muss and the less fuss the better. You simply prep. your bare patches by raking the soil to loosen it up, which only takes minimum effort, and then you shake some EZ Seed onto the patch, spray the patches with water and viola - - the job is complete. #2 This seed grows so quickly. I didn't really believe the claims but I had grass sprouts within a week and a half or so. #3 The grass that grows from the seed needs little watering and is very lush, green and hearty. Oh and #4 it is so easy to know when to water the EZ Seed - when the patch material becomes light brown you water it. No more over or underwatering. This product is so easy to use, your 5-year old could do it. To recap: it is easy to apply, grows quickly, needs little watering, results in green lush grass and is easy to tend to until the grass grows. Since I started using EZ Seed I've never used anything else. It does what Scott's says it does.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had some grass areas that were very thin. I purchased Scotts EZ Seed Sun & Shade. I broke the soil up and put down some top soil. I applied the EZ Seed, watered twice a day. 3 weeks have gone by and my new grass looks great. Would recommend and would by again. Great product!

I bought a 40lb bag in May after tilling up about 900 sq feet and adding 3 yards on top soil in my backyard ruined by tree company hired to remove a tree. I also bought a small bag of their regular seed because the area i wanted to re seed was a small L and i though if the 40lb did not cover enough i would do L part with reg. seed. I started to apply as instructed, only to get about 500-550sq feet covered, and i didn't want to mix seed in middle, so i bought another 40lb bag. It took a little longer for seeds to grow then seeds i used in past. It started to come in good the only problem was that after 5 weeks grass was just about ready to be cut for first time. By week 7 i cut it once and now had crab grass starting to grow. And i had to wait at least 3-4 cuts before i was able to apply any control products. Before 3rd cut lawn was now covered in crab grass, I bought their weed and crab grass killer in spray bottle, After 4th cut i tried it on a few test spots and found that it killed the grass around the crab grass i sprayed. Ez seed grass turned yellow then was gone, so after 3 months i am left with nothing but a crab grass lawn. A week after i planted the ez seed i used another cheap brand on another spot in my yard, and had great results. I would never use ez seed again except to maybe do small bald spot, i think is best for that.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this to repair place where my dog and grandson have destroyed patches of grass. It works well. I like the way to our container as well. Just pure and water and new grass. Works great as expected.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this product and the Patch Master product at the same time (3-4 weeks ago) and the Patch Master has significantly out performed this product. The area I used this has grass seedlings but not full coverage

It’s been two weeks and still not even a sprout. We had light rain all week with no puddling and I can still see the seed so it wasn’t washed away. I wouldn’t bother writing a review, but it’s a frustratingly simple concept and yet it’s failed on multiple occasions.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I could never be happier with this EZ Seed Patch & Repair tall Fescue Lawn. We had some updates in my area with the gas company so I needed to patch up parts of my lawn. It grew so well. Blended well with my lawn in that area. I will continue to use this whenever I may need it done again!!

Product worked like magic. Just follow the instructions and water the treated areas twice daily if needed. keep the treated spots moist and you will grow grass quick. It took about 7 days to germinate in my lawn. I love the results. Again, thanks Scott's for making such great products.
