Used slightly late in the fall season but the seed still sprouted even worked in hard to grow areas. No mess easy to use this is the spot area seeding prouduct to use!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] SCOTTS EZ SEED PATH & REPAIR IS GREAT. I SPRINKLE EZ SEED IN THE BEAR SPOTS, AN WITH IN A WEEK GRASS WAS GROWING. NOW THREE WEEK LATER, YOU CAN TELL THAT I HAD ANY BEAR SPOTS. AGAIN THIS IS A GREAT PRODUCT.

I prepared the area to be reseeded as per instructions. After 2 weeks there was only a 20% germination at most. I again prepared the area even using Scotts top soil. After 17 days there was zero germination. The area was prepared correctly and watered as it needed. In the fall I will go to plan B.

My neighbor and I had a similar problem with patch issues in our lawns. I bought EZ Seed and he bought your competitor’s product. Bought new top soil and removed damaged turf. I am still waiting for growth after two and half weeks and he his in only ten days in with great growth. EZ Seed is anything but easy. Been three weeks with nothing. Temps are favorable and still nothing. Going to buy his product(Schultz). What a waste of time and money. Should have listened to the negative feedback from your former customers. Have to say all your fertilizer and weed and feed products are great, but take EZ Seed off the market

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The grass seed came up in about a week and filled in fairly quick considering I did this in late October. The mulch did help it stay moist. The biggest issue I had was that it says covers up to 85 sq ft and I'm not sure it even covered 60 sq ft. Given the cost of this product and the amount that it covered, it isn't the greatest value. But if you just have small patches to fill in and need it to fill in quickly, this will work for you.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It has been very rainy here so I applied the grass seed to a few bare spots in the lawn a few weeks ago. New grass is emerging repairing some of the bare shady areas. I was hesitant to use the product so late in the year, but it seems to be working well.

From the ease of handling the container (no "dumping" clumps) to the quick growing of the seed, my bare spots have now come in and you can't tell the new from the old landscaping. Would buy again and am recommending to all my friends.

I tried this on a half dozen urine spots. It was easy to apply and some grass did germinate, but overall very little grass grew. I do recall thinking how much mulch and how few seeds there were in the areas where I applied it. Maybe I bought a batch that was more mulch than seed? I wound up reseeding the areas with Scott's EZ seed, which grew very well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This grass seed is as EZ as its name. MY husband made me a new veggie bed and left plain dirt in front of it when he was done. We like to grow our grass right up to the front of the bed so I had to reseed. All I did was rake out the soil and shake out the EZ Seed, it was that simple. I really liked how easy it was to see if it needed watering and no extra starter fertilizer was necessary. Any novice can grow grass seed with this. I took a pic of it as it was growing and noticed the grass I already had wasn't nearly as nice looking. I think I need to do the whole back yard in EZ seed.
