[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Scott's EZ Seed Patch & Repair Sun and Shade seed worked in an area that was completely bare. Raked the soil and spread the Scott's EZ Seed Patch & Repair Sun and Shade seed and grass grew in that area. Works great!

Must keep the product wet, must water it more than once per day during sunny weather..make sure the product stays dark brown - it gets light brown when dry. Seeds are slow to germinate and grass does not come out as full as I would like.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried this product on an area where the grass had been ripped out by some equipment and needed to be filled in. The product is easy to spread and the grass came up quickly. I can't tell where the spot was now.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this to fill in bare spots from dog urine. It sprouted quickly and is filling the bare spots nicely. Simple to use and works great. I definitely will be buying again for filling in further bare spots.

I have the best lawn in my cul-de-sac. My neighbors asked me why! I told them it was because I used this product. As long as you water it regularly along with lots of sun, you will have green thick pretty grass in no time. I used it near my deck when I had a ramp pulled up and it was just dirt. I put the easy seed down and it filled in with pretty grass. I had tried Pennington and it did NOTHING for my lawn.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought our house and the back yard was terrible the previous owners had a pool we did not think we would ever have grass .we used other brands of seed nothing worked.I went to the Scotts site and we figured we would give it a try we didn't have anything to lose.with in 2 weeks we had grass it came in patches at first within a month we had a full lawn

Had approx 1/4 acre hyrdoseeded, the other (approx) 1/4 acre was done with this "EZ seed"- (One part of the yard was ready before the other part- but both were prepped with the same soil- I didn't do this as a test- it was due to timing and not being able to get the hydroseeding company back). Hydro seeding grew in with a nice lawn- thick and weed free- It didn't grow as quickly as the ez seed but grew in weed free. The ez seed was 'planted' as per instructions on the bag. It did grow rapidy, but it's almost entirely weeds. Some of them 3 or 4 inches high, others are almost 20 inches high (in areas where the soil is still too soft on which to walk to get to them to pull them out). It's green, but it's all (MOSTLY all) weeds (I'm not a botanist or a scientist but I've lived with sawgrass, bluegrass, crabgrass, fescue, and lots of things that look and feel like grass- but this stuff doesn't look like grass). I see a patch here or there that is not full of weeds, but it's almost entirely weeds. The worst part is that the hydroseeding was CHEAPER than this seed was. So sad, now what do I do? Have to go spend another few hundred dollars on weed and feed or start over? Hire a lawn care company? Would not recommend this if you live in upstate NY where you don't have to water too much (rains alot) and the weeds like to grow? What do I even say here? Was looking on the site for a solution or to see what I did wrong- saw the place for reviews- so I'm reviewing. Just did the 'preview' and saw there is a place for pics but don't have any at 9:35 pm- I'll see if it's possible to attach some in the am. Aggghhh!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use ezseed to fill in some of the bare spots in my lawn, it grew fast but did not fill out / spread to fill in the spots. so i had to i put down more of ezseed to fill in the spots. now my lawn looks great with no bare spot.
