For best results, this product should be applied when daytime temperatures are consistently in the 65℉ range for cool season grasses and in the 85℉ range for warm season grasses: the warmer the soil, the faster the germination. Cool or fluctuating nighttime temperatures will slow germination. We recommend watering 1-2 times per day to keep the seeds moist until they germinate and then 1" to 1-1/2" per week as needed. There are several reasons why grass seed may not germinate and while it is difficult to pinpoint what may have gone wrong, we do have some advice that has been useful to some of our consumers in the past. What temperature was it when you applied the product? This seed germinates best when soil temperatures are at least 55 degrees. How often was the product watered? Too much or too little watering can both result in unsatisfactory germination rates. Were any weed controls or pesticides used around the time of seeding?
