This sweetener is not artificial, like sucrulos or saccharin. It is found naturally in fruit, but has an extremely low glycemic index rating. It does not spike blood sugar and is digested by the body later in the intestines, not in the mouth or stomach. Perfect sweetener!

Warning: Xylitol is FATAL to DOGS Veterinarian told me that raisins, grapes, and XYLITOL are 3 types of food she doesn't allow on her home because she has 3 dogs. One of my dogs had to be rushed to ER Vet because she consumed a raisin and $4,000 and 5 days later she was able to come home. Awful experience and when I picked her up I asked Veterinarian what other foods are as dangerous as Raisins. She said the top dangers were raisins and Xylitol. She said often they can confidently know they can save a dog who has consumed chocolate because usually it's milk chocolate and the can often save the dog. But raisins and xylitol are extremely Fatal!! I looked thru everything in my home and found xylitol in gum, liquid allergy medicine etc… all kinds of products. But this bag of Xylitol would be able to kill many many dogs. Just please be aware.

Good quality product at a reasonable price and was delivered in 2 days! I have bought Health Garden's Birch Xylitol from Walmart many times and as long as Health Gardner doesn't increase its price, I would keep buying!

This product has no link to the product or bi product of sugar that I know of. It comes from birch tree bark first marketed in Finland in the late 80s I believe if my memory serves me right

Texture isn't bad, but could be finer. Takes a while to dissolve (if not totally stirred and dissolved, it sinks to bottom of cup or cereal bowl and becomes too sweet. But love the product overall.

I'm a big fan of xylitol, needed to restock. Purchased 2 bags, weeks passed, and finally 1 bag, leaking, arrived in a beat up box with a slice in it. I have been trying to get this fixed ever since. I hope Walmart will send me what I ordered soon.

I like this brand of xylitol because the grains are finer than the other USA produced birch xylitol I used to purchase from Wegman's, which has large crystals. It is also much less expensive (I bought the 10 lbs bag).

Price is a bit steep, but the flavor is excellent. Much better priced than anything on Amazon. I did a lot of research and nothing compares to the price here.

Quicker delivery than Amazon. This is the best, most economical birch xylitol that I have found. Great price if you can afford to spend $50 at a time!
