have owned a few S&F but this one hasn't lasted very long as far as sagging in the middle. I have to get a new mattress quickly as my back is hurting. If I sleep at a nice Hotel, I feel great and have no back pain. Sorry S&F, I paid allot or this mattress and expected it to last longer. the tag states Dina Pammill was the Master Craftsman made in Indiana and also has Eileen Leigh name on it along with the number 5691. I swapped out my new Sealy for this mattress during a sleep trial because I felt the Sealy was too warm. I made a huge mistake because this is the hottest mattress I've ever owned and now I'm stuck with it. I was told by the sales rep it would be cooler and it is probably 15 degrees warmer. Also I use it on an adjustable base and the pillow top squishes together creating lumps everywhere. The absolute worse.

I am a stomach and side sleeper and found this to be extremely difficult sleep on as is. I woke up in pain the first night and unable to fall back asleep. This bed is just too hard for myself to sleep on. My husband however, didn't mind the firmness. My hope is that the bed will "loosen a bit" over time. In the meantime, I now have a mattress topper and am enjoying the bed finally. I do like that the bed is higher now. I am 5'7" and just fit comfortably. Ultra firm is not for everyone and I'm sure a select few would benefit from this stiff mattress.

My husband likes his mattress on the softer side and I'm the opposite liking my mattress firmer--this was the healthy middle to both enjoy a good night's rest. The only thing that was different than I expected was the height of the mattress. It's not a deal breaker, but if you are purchasing the mattress online without seeing it in person, be sure it fits your headboard adequately. I'm redecorating our guest room and I think our future guests will also enjoy sleeping on this mattress

At first I thought this was the most comfortable mattress ever. Then I had one delivered and snapped out of it. When you first lay on it, it's soft and comfortable. About an hour or so into your sleep, you discover you are in a hot gully. The memory foam holds the heat and if you sleep warm to begin with, as I am, this will drive you nuts. Also, since they use a lot of memory foam in this mattress, the off-gassing goes on for more than 2 weeks - and that's with fans going and windows open on a cool day. If any of this is a problem for you, move along. I swapped this out and got something else. It's a shame, too. Except for the glue spot on the side of the mattress (which at this price point should not have been there), it seemed like it was made well.

The mattress is firm and supportive for your body, but the pillowtop adds a comfy layer so when you climb into bed you are surrounded with comfort. I will say this mattress is very thick and heavy. It's a bit hard to change the sheets because it's so heavy to lift and tuck the sheet under. We are using it on a platform bed so there is no need for a box spring. This is exactly what I needed for my back and shoulder pain, it's very firm and keeps your posture well positioned. You feel recharged, relaxed and ready to work next day. A good sleep is very important for everyone and this mattress is definitely worth all the money spent on it. You can never go wrong with this mattress. support started failing at 3 months- now little over a year and it is unusable. inspection did not show pillow top indent of 2" (support failure below pillow top!). retailer blamed it on S&F - apparently no one makes mattresses like they used to? still paying for 200 lb mattress that we cannot spend an entire night sleeping on due to pain created by lack of support. purchased foam toppers but not enough- and now getting stuck in the trough and cannot even turn over. so disappointing. S&F uses money to promote branding but no longer on quality manufacturing. now mattress shopping again while still making monthly payments on this mattress soon to be out advertising its failure in the trash. be forwarned. if you are unhappy this company has impossible criteria for return.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After getting the S&f queen size mattress, I was surpized at how well my husband and I slept. I have a bad back and it was the perfect with me getting a good night's sleep, the reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I feel that is a little smaller than our last queen but not only do I sleep very good on it, my back does not hurt when I wake up.

From the first night we tried to sleep on our Lux Estate Pillow top firm, to the 30 th day of trial, I have experienced great discomfort and no support from the mattress. We "sunk" into the firm pillow top and found it uncomfortable -non-supportive- of my back or hips. Each night we sink into the still sunken area of the bed, which makes it difficult to change position to find some relief of my increasing discomfort. I have required physical therapy weekly to treat the increased pain in my hips and upper back, (this condition was tolerable prior to the use of the new mattress). 50% of the time I resort to sleeping on an extra mattress we have in our guest room so that I can get a comfortable sleep. Our mattress is being evaluated as defective. No matter what the determination, we are exchanging this mattress for a different Stearns and Foster mattress-not another Lux Estate Pillow top firm model.
