Bluetooth good, probe is too slow to register temp

I bought this for cooking steaks. The instant thermometer is fine. The probe is so slow to register temperature that it is useless on high temp steak cooking. Also, the green egg grill over temped the ambiant temp on probe. Tried on chicken breast in oven air fryer. It said 165 but chicken was still raw. Haven't tried in my smoker yet, but I think this is only good for slow cooks. Bluetooth range is very good.
