This is an excellently engineered and manufactured product. It is solid as a rock and the electrical outlets are a plus. Long lasting cedar and insulated roofing. You definitely need to purchase the installation though. It is worth the extra cost.

Great quality for the price. One caveat; If you purchase the assembled package, the assemblers will NOT drill the holes and anchor your gazebo to your concrete pad! (There seems to be a big difference between ASSEMBLED and INSTALLED). If you live in a higher wind environment, it can cause you heartburn until you can find someone to anchor it to your concrete slab. So have someone standing by, or be ready yourself, to anchor the gazebo when it is completely assembled. The literature does not discuss anything about this. They include the concrete fasteners in the package, but do not furnish anyone to anchor it--something about liability(?).

I am very pleased with this Gazebo. It has a large footprint and can be assembled by anyone with basic building abilities. I downloaded the BILT app to help with areas where the written assembly instructions were unclear. Once I completed the first 14' roof section on the ground I discovered it was extremely heavy and doubted that I would be able to lift it from the ground to the top of the structure even with two normal strength assistants. I ended up assembling the entire structure by myself, only needing one assistant to steady the ladder on a few occasions. For the 14' roof sections, I installed the top and bottom purlins and lifted the roof section in place, then installed the remaining purlins and metal roofing. For the 10' sections I installed all of the purlins before lifting the roof sections in place.

Great Gazebo, and went together great. I had a couple damaged pieces from shipment, and called customer service, got someone I could understand, and she had my replacement parts shipped out same day no questions asked. Very impressed and will recommend backyard discovery to anyone i know looking for a Gazebo!

Beautiful gazebo, sturdy, and will last forever! I love sitting under it in the rain with our gas firepit. My husband, son and I assembled it in 2 days. We are pros now and could assemble them much faster now that we know what we are doing. LOL Follow the directions to the tee as far as measurements when assembling the roof to make sure it is square. All the holes lined up, the pieces were marked. The one thing I would have liked is a touch up pen. Some of the wood was scratched and the really light color shows through under the roof- would be nice to cover those up. You need an impact drill for concrete slab and a tall ladder at minimum. We used a scaffold which was amazingly helpful for all aspects of assembly- instead of moving a ladder around all the time. The metal roof drains under the trim, though, which I thought was weird- to have it all go down metal, then under a metal piece that is placed over the wood edges. It seems like that might wear own the wood all around the roof.

Everything was packaged correctly, had problems with the instructions. Some of the instructions not clear, even with the pictures. The roof panels, or more correctly the roof edge channels were to close together for the ridge caps to hold tightly. I tried to get this gazebo early in the spring, when it was listed for $1500. Not allowed to be put on back order for this price. Always sold out or unavailable. Finally came available online for just over $2000. I don't feel like this is a good business practice. You should honor the sale price. 42000

Anytime you spend $2000 on something you have high expectations and hopes that you're not wasting you money on a poorly built item. I am satisfied with the item and the quality, it could be better but I'm a protectionist and also a cheapskate. For the money it's a nice addition to our back deck and our hopes are to purchase a second one next year or build a to it. It is a bear to built and the directions aren't great, using the app with the directions is a must for a few of the tasks. Overall we are satisfied and hope that this gives us years of shade.

Would have been a five except for installation part. Got a refund, which was prompt, due to problems in dealing with the 3rd party company. The quality of the gazebo is excellent but expect a solid weekend to put it together with 3 people. Parts are bagged according to steps and the instructions are clear and detailed. Follow the directions and take your time and you will have a really nice structure to be proud of. Be sure to note that the gazebo comes stained but lacking a preservative coating. I went with a darker stain/preservative and it looks great! So bottom line is I would buy again.

Good look outwardly, but I was disappointed that the wood is so hollow you cannot hang or mount much of anything, especially if you have to screw into the wood. Additionally, some of the beams came with cracks in the wood, which I know will be a problem later.

Please inspect the product, I had a lot of warped wood, the stain was barely on the surface, so it rubs on when it touches the other wood. I also had to drill new holes in a few boards because, the wood was split. We waited for the product so I had to make it work.
