This is an inexpensive, quality product. I have used this exercise for decades. Used 2-3 times a week, your back will be in shape. It will keep you from having back pain. If you have back pain and start very slowly and build up, you will be amazed how your pain will subside. This exercise helped me postpone back surgery for 20 years. After surgery it helped me again resume normal activity. I use the chair religiously twice a week and I am now in my 60's.

I was expecting an above-average product. But the product is actually MUCH stronger than expected. I'm doing sit-ups with no support below my waist.. so if its not solid, and I fall off, I'm in in traction at the hospital. So yea, they fooled me... in a very good way.

This hyper extension bench is awesome. I put it together in about 30 minutes and used it right away. My lower back has been jacked from years of weight lifting. I did 10 reps on this and my back already feels like new. Flipped over and did crunches as well felt terrific. So glad I purchased this additional piece of equipment for my home gym.

I left my 10 year old Roman Chair when I moved and got this as an inexpensive replacement in my down-sized home. It was easily assembled and seems pretty sturdy. I am 5 ft 4 inches. This is why I am now ditching it and getting another for more money: **The leg holder does not adjust high enough, making the angle of your bend a double-over, instead of just 90 degrees. And if you are not tall enough you cannot possibly bend yourself over the pad without using only your heels or the back of your ankles. OUCH. **The pad is a killer. It looks like a flat cushion, but the front of it is heavy rolled and actually higher where your most weight will be -- it is like placing your stomach/abdomen weight on a bar. The bruising is incredible and I have stopped using it just for that. **The handles are BEHIND you, absolutely useless for any support. They cannot assist you in getting on and off. If you are short, getting on and off this equipment is downright annoying. My mistake. I tried to find this in a store to see it before I bought, but could not find it anywhere.

I am 6'4" and 220# and noticed if I have too much of my body over the front end the bench will try to tip over. I put some concrete screws into the floor to hold it down. Also noticed some creaking of the board under the padding if you do any type of twisting core that requires one side of the board to hold all of the weight.

The bench is a bit large and takes some getting use to. When using the chair for crunches, the balance is a bit off and need to be careful as the back end will start coming off the ground. Other than that, good machine for the price. works great for back extensions. Only issue is the shipping. This has more to do w/the carrier than the machine. With that said, there was a large hole in the corner of the box, the small parts (bolts & such) container was torn open and two parts were missing. I was able to locate the missing bolts from a hardware store, but still a pain. As I said, that has more to do w/the shipper. The machine itself was easy to put together and works well for a home gym.

I've had recurring lower back pain for quite a while. My chiropractor advised me to work on my core strength so the back muscles could do their job of stabilizing the vertebrae and keep them aligned properly. After two weeks of using this Roman Chair on a recurring basis, my back pain has decreased significantly and still improving. My back muscles are much stronger now. I have been able to return to doing the things I enjoy, that I have not been able to do for a while. I will continue to use it as part of a regular exercise routine.

Our bench came in and we have one bolt that is too small for the hole. We have tried to reach the customer service for one week and their automated service puts you in a loop then hangs up on you. Their email address (info@impex-fitness.com) is under construction, so we have NO way to reach them. Very disappointed and will never buy from Impex again.

Great value!! A really sturdy piece of gym equipment for the price. I'm 5 ft and the piece is a bit tall for me, but I manage. It took me about 40 mins to put together. I've used it for 2 weeks and my lower back feels stronger already! I'm happy with My purchase. it serves it's purpose & it didn't make me go broke!

Great piece of equipment, strong and inexpensive. Best old school workout for your core. Only one minor complaint; the cushion could be a little thicker but for the price it's perfect. Lastly the delivery was fast and the whole transaction was trouble free.
