Great buy, with a few caveats

This arrived with all pieces and was easy to put together, with sturdy construction. For the money I'd definitely buy again, but there was a slight problem with the product. For back extensions it's an awesome machine, however being 6'4" I'm not able to comfortably fit to use the machine for negative crunches. Since it is a solid product, it is not adjustable for different heights and comfort levels. If you're good with that, I'd recommend.

Ok product

Ok product, although I wish quality control could be a little better. Assembling the chair was straight forward. It is sturdy and well balanced. During the assembly process, I discovered that the holes where I must attach the seat to the support beam were not aligned correctly. Also, the holes were too small! The screws did not fit. I had to redrill. It took longer than expected because of the alignment issue. The length and width of this chair fit me very well. I'm only 5'8 and have no issue with it. Overall, I'm satisfied with this product. The price is cheaper at Walmart than other retailers. Surprisingly, it is not that heavy to move around.

Even with price it's not good enough

Bolts that hold the upperbody support stripped very easily trying to attach it to the bottom. I had to drill out new holes and my own bolts. I should have just returned it, because when I went to use it I realize the support for the lower body just doesn't cut it. Not having anything to dig your feet into, or something to clamp on your shins/ankles just makes it not good enough to get the exercise that you're supposed to get. This is supposed to be a concentric exercise in your lower back, and an eccentric exercise for your hams, with the glutes somewhere in the middle of that. Instead you have to really focus on curling your legs back against the calf pads, putting the tension into your hams. This could be remedied by having a second pad for your shin, that would allow you to "let go" of your legs and do the hyper extension.. trying to figure out how I can mod this to work.

Great addition for home gym

I read other reviews and they were right...it is made for a very tall person. I am 5'6" yet I struggled to get on it, almost fell over to the ground. I would suggest the manufacturer make the bench adjustable just like the foot pads. The cap on the foot post is damaged, but usable. I will contact Walmart on this, but may or maynot take it back because of the height. Maybe my hubby can figure out how to cut it down. Otherwise it is great for my back.

Affordable Quality

I am very pleased with this piece of equipment. It was easy to assemble and is very stable. I use it for back and ab work outs. I am able to cradle weights and have no problems with tipping or rocking. I wish there was a little more padding at the top edge of the seat, but this is a very minor issue, and does not effect my overall score of 5 stars. The chair's quality and pricing make it a must have for any home gym.

great product

it was easy to assemble and I started using it immediately. I keep it close to the TV so I can use it easily. Even my 9 and 10 year olds use it to work on their "six-packs".

Heavy duty

it works well... sturdy. I was worried because I'm 6 foot 250 lbs. But it's very stable. It does take up a lot of room though, and it isn't fold able.

Excellent bench

I use the bench for both abs and back. My only concern it's a bit tall for me. I am 5' 5", so it took me 4-5 days to get used to climb, but eventually it works fine. Except that it an excellent bench, I've got what I wanted.

Excellent product for the price. Easy to assemble and easy to use. One of the best exercise machines to have for your lower back and abs. Highly recommend.
