Purchased this generator because it operates on propane fuel which offers lower maintenance and propane has longer shelf life than gasoline. Generator has charging ports for electronic devices and can keep most household appliances going during power outages. Been using it to power electric tools around my small acreage farm.

I bought the powerjoe to replace an old gas unit I had that gave me nothing but trouble. The thing I liked most was that it runs off of propane since we typically have several tanks on hand and they store easily in our garage. The push button start was a nice touch and beat cranking my old gad one. To note, it does also have a pull start as a back up if the push button fails. This happened on one occasion to us, but after a few minutes of rest, the push button reengaged. Helped us run several necessary appliances during our last power outage and came in handy. It served its purpose; we had lights/tablets/phones charged and saved us on food spoilage. Overall I was pleased and it works for what it is designed to do.

I got this generator mainly because I needed a portable solution for camping trips and for tailgating. It's the only model I've found where the propane tank sits onboard the unit and has a handle so you can wheel it around like a pushcart with the propane tank attached rather than having to drag the tank along separately. This is very inconvenient in other portable generators that we've had in the past. We plan to continue using it for recreational activities and in the event of power emergencies so will continue to update this post, but so far it worked very nicely and did what we needed it to do.

We loved the reviews so we wanted to get one to have on hand in case of a outage.
