Love our Generac!

Awesome system! You do not realize how nice it is to have a Generac generator until the power goes out! Full power back on in seconds!

Peaceful mind knowing the system is there.

I have not had an opportunity to need the generac yet. But I feel better knowing that the system is ready to use if needed.

New Generac 18Kw Installed in April

I bought it in April and so far it is running good. No loss of power yet, but anxious to see how well it will behave and run.

Peace of mind

I just had unit installed, and love the way it looks and works as needed. The peace of mind of having a backup for storms is priceless.

👍👍👍👍👍👍

My first Generac generator lasted for 18 years before it wore out so happy to have a new one. I’m too old to deal with power outages.

Good Machine but With Issue

Just over a week or so ago I purchased a new 14 kw standby generator, and had it installed by Pine Tree Standby Power - They were excellent from start to finish - Generator wise, it seems to run well after test trials and has exercised twice since install - My heartburn comes from this - One of the advertised features of this unit is the ability to remotely monitor it via its onboard Wi-Fi module and a downloaded app on your smart phone - This was important to me as I am handicap and it is hard for me to get to the generator - A great feature if it actually worked - I must preface comments by saying I am retired from a 40 year career in network engineering so I know just a little - After hours of attempts to setup the generator Wi-Fi, all failures, I concluded that the unit was not communicating with the network - The unit is no more than 15 feet from the router, and yes I was sending 2.4Ghz signal to it. I began research only to find that this is a VERY common issue for this unit - I called support and got a gent who was very polite but lackluster - After making me walk through EVERYTHING I had already done (and told him so) he concluded the generator was not communicating with the network and wasn't going to it seemed - His suggestion was that I look into a Wi-Fi extender to increase signal or get a different Generac Wi-Fi module - After research, I learned that Generac has known about the weak Wi-Fi module issues yet let them exist and still keeps plugging the feature in ads and flyers - Yes I could buy a network extender. Yes I could order the replacement Generac Wi-Fi module from their website at a cost of over over $300 - BUT why should I have to pay to make the 14,000 dollar investment run as advertised? Any distance over 20 feet from the router and the supplied module will not get/hold connection - If you are thinking of this unit for the remote monitoring look elsewhere - As the unit is only two weeks old I am seriously thinking of calling the dealer to refund me, take it lout, and then get a more reliable one

Powerhouse beast!!

Bought the 22kw generator, and we feel so relieved when the power goes out, that our Generac will start, and transfer power over to the house within seconds. It powers the whole house with ease. The 3 ton central A.C., double wall mounted ovens, all 4 burners on our glass cooktop stove, and well pump. It's like we've never lost power! Also, when utility power comes back, it transfers power back with zero interruption! Love it! Thanks Generac!

love power outages

i bought my generac 14 kw generator in october of 2021, so I think I can give it a fair review now in october 2025. The generator has been flawless, except last yr. on a sub zero afternoon it wouldn't start to run it's weekly maintenance cycle, but that's the only hiccup I've had with it. I would highly recommend this generator. Ive lost power countless times and it's always come through. I also like the fact that this model has the hydraulic valves that don't need adjusting.

An absolute dream

We live in a very wooded suburb of Boston. One might think that living 30 minutes outside of a city isn't the type of place for power issues, but our town is densely wooded with lots of tall mature pines everywhere. Whenever there's any kind of storm, be it a thunderstorm in the summer, a nor'easter or ice storm in the winter, we lose power almost guaranteed. The power company in our area is also extremely slow to restore power. Any outage guarantees at least 12+ hours of downtime, with many outages lasting 2-3 days. We got tired of spoiled food, no heat, and just huge headaches. We got this 18kW Generac 7226 installed by a local dealer last year, and it's already gotten us through two multi-day outages. It's so nice to not worry about our refrigerator and our heat in the wintertime anymore. We're able to continue our daily lives as normal while it just hums away outside powering our house. The automatic transfer switch takes care of switching back to main power after immediately once it's back, even in the middle of the night. If you're on the fence, go for a Generac. You won't be disappointed.

Peace of Mind / Quality / Convenience

Living in the heartland, "...where the wind comes sweeping down the plain...", and the ever present possibility of bitter cold and ice storms in the winter, the threat of power outages is high. We experience a mean average of 5-7 outages a year. Those outages can last minutes to days, anecdotally, 2-4 hours in my experience. No more portable gensets, no more stored gasoline, no more extension cords and inlet boxes, no more breakers and interlocks. No more fighting the elements to get the power back on. Generac does all that automatically and in about 15-20 seconds. That friends, is peace of mind!
