I was hesitant to purchase this at first. My wife insisted that we do. Since purchase we have had 2 major storms and the Generac has performed flawlessly. The whole valley was without power for 2 days and we were eating popcorn and watching Netflix. I will say that we can hear it running when it comes on, but it's a small price to pay for comfort.

We purchased a brand new 2026 Generator. It is now April and the thing still does not work. Every time the power goes out ... the generator runs for 5 seconds and then shuts down and we get a "failed" message. Our installers (Blue Sky Plumbing) has said they have installed 23 of the these same generators and ALL OF THEM are having the same issue. I would not purchase a new generator again from these people and if we don't get our money back ($50K), we will be suing Generac.

I wish I had better things to say but I feel the company that installed the unit did a poor job the unit leaks oil and when I told them about it on the 1st maintenance visit, they wanted charge me extra this was part of the installation and has been leaking ever since . Other folks may have a better experience with this brand I think it was just the company that has installed mine .

We have had the unit for about 10 months. It now tests twice a month for 10 minutes self checking and keeping the oil moving around. We had an outage the week after it was installed while we were away. I received a notice of it working, via the app, as it was supposed to do. We have had two other outages last year. The unit performed perfectly. So far so good! I had a year of complimentary wireless coverage. I just signed up for the next year. While not really a cheap benefit, it is nice to have. I may change to testing once a month later. We used to have outages every other month around my neighborhood due to weather, trees and old lines. Consumers has done a good job of cleaning up the lines and overhanging trees. The outages are fewer now, but as an older person, I now join the group of people that are more susceptible to cold, heat and less flexibility in dealing with the inconveniences of power outages. Our Generac should make things easier!

We bought our Stand by Generator recently and we are delighted with our purchase. I don't have to dread dragging my walker over the extension cords in the floor when the power is off. Now we simply go on as usual after a few seconds. Thank you Generac and Mr. Allen of Allen Residential Electrical for giving us peace of mind in stormy weather.

I bought my 22KW wifi enabled unit in April of 2024 along with a service contract from my authorized installer. For the 18 months the unit reliably performed its weekly check run along with providing power during half a dozen power outages that typically lasted from 15 minutes to 2 hours. Many times I didn’t even know the generator turned on and only found out in the monthly email report. Then we had a bad snow storm in March 2026 that knocked out power for nearly 4 days. The generator ran flawlessly. I am very happy we bought this unit.

I purchased this 22 W backup generator about a month and a half ago and hope it works when I really need it. The installation went well and on time however I was not given any instructions on how the generator works or what I should do other than calling them if there's a problem, I was given no information on how to set up the monitoring app on my cell phone at all so I have it on and I guess it's OK but that's about it.

We bought this 24KW four months ago and was only able to get it installed a month ago. So far we're very pleased with it. We bought a 22KW Generac 20 years ago and got a lot of usage out of it in south Louisiana. Back then it was referred to as a "whole house generator" but we soon learned that didn't mean you could run "everything" in the house on it. It running under a load because of a power outage and my wife was running the clothes washer, dryer, microwave, the electric oven and all the lights at the same time and it handling the load just fine until our 3.5 ton AC kicked on and it started to bog down badly. Lesson learned!! We have only used this one in the exercise schedule and not under a load yet. It is quieter than our old one though. Be sure to get the App for it if you want a more detailed status of it and setup an exercise schedule.

Had 15 different power outages in the last 12 months and some outages lasted days. We have had no power outages yet sense we bought and installed the Generac generator. Now when storms come I'm not worried about power loss but I am scared of tornadoes.

The generator does what it is suppose to do very well, it's been a savor for a couple storms and power outages. But I have been made aware that the generator should be shut down after prolonged outages intermittently. Which I'm trying to understand what one does when you're away for a prolonged period of time and there is a prolonged outage while you're away?
