So we had 22kw installed for 3700 sq foot house a few years ago, mostly for zoned air conditioners I can't live without. However, we never really lost power for very long, once installed. I was thinking maybe shouldn't have purchased a generator, although the peace of mind was always nice. Then a few nights ago all these edgy news warnings of a nasty nor'easter on its way possibly taking out power in Philly area, and much of the east coast for that matter, from brutal high winds and wet snow. My wife and I were sitting in the comfort of our toasty home watching a movie Friday night and then boom! ...Total darkness from power outage. Could only hear high winds for about 10 seconds... and then... that transfer switch clicked and that wonderful, beautiful, fantastic, humming sound from the outside generator, and then a few seconds later on come the lights, the TV powers up, the furnace is working. The oven is on. Oh man I can't describe how great that feeling was. I looked outside to see our neighborhood development homes, but nothing but cold wind and total darkness. I almost felt guilty when I sat back down on the couch and asked my wife, " pass the popcorn please". My daughter even stopped by did laundry she needed for work with dryer. No problem for the generator. Power still out days later for many in area, but ours did transfer back to electric company. Everything did work perfectly. Backup power is very important for us due to health issues and provides us the safety and security to remain in our country home. We are on a well and can't live without heat or a/c throughout the year. Knapp's Electric(Generac contractor) and TrueComfort(Gas Line contractor) were very professional and completed a bang up job. The process was well explained and all our questioned expertly answered. We found the cost somewhat high although manageable for long term dependability. Worth it for us. We would highly recommend these contractors. The only negative is that the Dealer-Managed Plan should be included without cost. TKS

I had been looking at other backup generators and I got a quote from another brand.. They were $2500+ higher than the Generac 7209 and I got a bigger unit! 24K vs 20K Folks had it installed in a day and then next day we had an hour power disruption. Generator worked like a charm. Could not have been anymore pleased. Didn't have a problem with 3500ft home electrical needs.

Installed Dec 2019, Westhaven, would listen to it start up and run every two weeks for 10 minutes to keep itself ready. Power went out January 2021 for two days, it fired up 10 seconds after power went out and never shut down. Ran everything in the house no problem and we were the only ones around able to do everything we normally do in our house. Had friends come over in the morning to go duck hunting and they said it was weird as we were only home with lights on. Best investment ever !!!!!!!!

I recently had a Generac 22Kw installed by Roys Generators, in the Wilmington NC area. Roy is an authorized Generac installer and Service professional who did what he said he would, met his commitments, and is very knowledgeable and experienced in all aspects of the generator and its installation. He performed a full turn key installation and bet out the pricing of all others I had received quotes from. He also provides service support on the generator. I would recommend him.

My new 22KW generator with Automatic Transfer Switch was installed 11-2-2022. The generator is operational, though luckily has not been needed for service. It comes on every Wednesday and runs for about 5 minutes for testing. I get a not on my Mobile Link that it is operational. So far this is my only experience with the equipment. I must say that the generator is noisy when running, a little louder than the average size lawn mower. But I can live with the noise so my wife and I can have electricity. After bad freeze in Texas during winter of 2021, my wife insisted that we get a generator. After researching, I contacted a local generator installer in late July 2022 and was impressed by their professionalism, and they kept their promises for meeting dates and installation dates. They completed the total installation in 1 day with some ditch digging on the day before installation and cleanup the day after the installation was approved by the local inspectors. I liked the installers installation process, including installing the natural gas piping from my gas meter to the unit and electrical wiring from the unit into my attic and on to the electrical panel and setting the new pieces of equipment.

Hightower Electric was an excellent choice for obtaining our Generac standby automatic generator system. Mike Lowrey explained the correct sizing of the generator needed and dealing with local gas utility. He obtained the permits from the township, kept us informed of schedule progress, performed the work on the agreed date and scheduled the two township inspections required before final acceptance. He offered as an add-on option a replacement of our home's old main electrical panel box with new circuit breakers and proper grounding. There were no surprises, in terms of project scope, schedule and cost.

From order process to the installation, everything went smoothly. Other than the weekly maintenance testing, haven’t had any outages since the installation. Get weekly updates on the system after the testing process is done. Highly recommended if your area is or has outages.

The SPS team was amazing, from start to finish. I did my research before choosing the type of generator and company to do the install and support. I made the decision to go with Generac and SPS after talking to 4 other companies. I am a single homeowner and trust in the product and the company is paramount. I have had the system installed for less than 3 weeks and it's already been used twice. Power goes out quite a bit in my area and I also travel so knowing the system will work and that I am notified of each action the generator takes. I would recommend this product to anyone and the Specialized Power Services company to do the install!

The product is solid, excellent instructions and best of all, excellent Customer Support. the 24x7 LIVE PERSON support is something special these days of IVR's and Chats and in-person avoidance. Generac was there for us multiple time during our 'self-installation' process and were very helpful and patient. We got this up un running and tested successfully a week before an upcoming deep freeze, so we have peace of mind. The ML App could be better. I was hoping to be able to view the setup panel options and do more remotely. But it did do the very basics of telling me current state, and sending me alerts.
