Although I haven't used the generator in a power outage, it was easy to assemble the wheels and feet, quick start guide was simple to follow and straight forward. I did a test run and everything seems to be functioning properly. The engine started immediately and ran smoothly. Highly recommend!

I decided to purchase a new generator as my other is very old. It was very easy to assemble wheels and fill with oil. Connected it to my 30 amp line connected to my power box , gassed it up hit the electric start button and it instantly started. It powers up my whole house. I let it run for an hour or so and Happy Happy Happy. However B 4 you purchase a generator talk to an electrician first about what wattage is good for your home . I would highly recommend a Westinghouse generator for home use.

Seems well built. Heavy duty frame. I like the rubber engine mounts. I assembled the feet and wheels. Put the supplied engine oil in using the provided funnel. This was a nice feature that made it much easier to add the oil. Put about a pint of gas in the tank, turn on main switch, set the choke to start and 3 pulls later it fired up. No vibration when the engine is running. Metered all outputs and everything checked out. The only thing that was off is the owners manual says the oil capacity is 074 qts. This only brought the level up to the low end of the dipstick. I added a few more ounces to bring the level up some and will keep an eye on it. Other than that it seems to be a well built machine and will make the next power failure easier to navigate

Super good generator for the price. The duel starting option is a major plus. Starts right up every time. Having the electric start is great when you have a bum shoulder like myself. It is easily moved about with the built in handle. The sound when running is not bad at all. Bought this generator as an extra to run my husband's oxygen concentrator. Would highly recommend this generator.

i bought this WGen5300sc a couple week's ago and after putting the oil and gas in it started right up and runs great smooth and don't make as much noise as a smaller generator that i have does. tried the pull start and started first pull. i really like it. and good warranty.

This generator is easy to set up, and easy to start. As an older woman, I needed something that I could manage on my own. The electric starter fired right up. This helps me to maintain a sense of independence and security, So happy I made this purchase.

I was comparing this Westinghouse Generator against a Champion brand, and I bought the Westinghouse. I am very pleased with my purchase. This Generator is built like a tank. It has the running watts I need, and also the electric start, for my wife...although I like it as well. We already tried it, and WOW, it did not disappoint. If my wife would let me, I'd like to buy another one for the cabin. This is a great generator, supplying all the power we need and extra. It runs smoothly, starts on the first try, and is not too loud. I am very happy that I went with Westinghouse.

It worked great the first time I used it, when I tried for the second time it didn't work, I recently bought it and I have no idea how to claim the warranty,

I like the features the generator comes with especially the 30 amp and 50 amp plug for the rv and the push button start up and the extra outlets for extension cords

This one purchased after our previous one was stolen from the garden shed. These 5300 units are great. It has never failed to start and run for hours. Output is more than adequate to run refrigerator, freezer, furnace fan and home lighting.
