Bought in anticipation of Hurricane season. Connected by Electrician directly to Well. Went with Electric start for 1st time. Easy operation depicted, but time will tell. Arrived with small "dent" in top cage bar, but generator itself not effected (hopefully).

After several power failures decided I needed a generator. Several reviews later I picked the Westinghouse WGen5300sc Generator with CO Sensor. I picked it; !) for the reliable Westinghouse name; 2) it has an electric start (tired of pulling to start equipment; 3) it has wheels; 4) bang for the buck. Unpacked I found it to be well constructed, a heavy piece but those wheels make it easy to move. I love the fact that after reading and following the instructions I hit the electric start and boom, fired right up, no need to resort to the backup pull/recoil starter, but glad it's there. A solid piece built to last!

What a powerhouse! We love our portable generator with electric start! My husband travels so when I need to use a generator I was often SOL. However, with Westinghouse's portable generator with electric start I'm able to complete any chore that needs to be done! Cannot be happier with this generator. The price was beautiful compared to Lowe's and amazon! The wheels that come with the generator enables me to be able to transfer this generator anywhere on the property. Thank you Westinghouse

The electric start and easy start up make set/start up a breeze! The noise level is what you would expect, but isn't too loud. Run time is as advertised and powers everything we needed and more. It is great that it comes with the wheel kit as most other brands that has to be purchased separately.

I have had this 6-7mos and the Auto switch stopped working. I talked to customer care, he suggested to charge the lithium battery. I charged it to SOC 100% but did not fix the problem. I can manual start the generator but being 73 I really need a working Auto Switch. Hopefully this will be replace at no charge.

I've owned this unit for a year now and it worked great during a three day outage from a tropical storm in Florida. I was supposed to receive a cover for it, but I never received it. four stars for not receiving my cover after leaving a previous review per direction.

I bought this generator after several storms in the area knowing I would be protected from power outages. This one can handle my sump pump and refrigerators on top of having an electric start. The weight of this is just right and not too heavy and the handle makes it easy to roll. Hoping I won't have to use it much, but in case it's needed, it should do the trick and save my basement from flooding!

I can't say for certain how well this will work. I've heard it's a good generator and for the price it seems to be large enough for my needs. I've only started it and tested the electric start but so far so good. My wife isn't able to pull a ripcord so the electric start was a must.

I recently bought this generator to replace an old pull start model I had used for many years.. Being a senior I will certainly appreciate the ease of operation when using this electric start. I made use of the increased wattage output of this 5300 unit, and installed a 10 circuit transfer switch to run all our necessary appliances as needed when we have storms or other types of power outages.We consider this generator to be a smart product to have handy. Well made, and easy to operate for me or my wife.

Haven't had to use it yet, (thank goodness) but it started like a dream.
