I did alot of research on various brands and power of generators. The one I kept coming back to was this unit. The sweet spot of power ..not overkill but not under powered just perfect. I have a sub panel and transfer switch and this can run sump pump, lights , fridge , washer and electric start gas furnace. I wasnt looking for entire house power so this is just right. Super easy to assemble , wheels and oil included with electric start. Easy on gas and a nice looking unit to boot. Bought a gen tent to keep it outdoors and now am prepared for any winter storm mother nature has up her sleeve. Living in the northeast ( outside Buffalo, NY ) this is priceless peace of mind. My WGen5300SC has surpassed all of my expectations!! It runs over 14 hours on a single tank of fuel, super easy electric start and it's so much quieter than my generac and others I have owned. Super powerful and the digital readout to show what load you have on the unit is a huge plus!!!

I just bought this for hurricane preparedness and after reading the reviews of all manufacturers out there this one rated the highest and everyone I talked to said this brand was the one to go with. Feel better going into hurricane season here in Florida.

Great unit able to power most of my house when we loose power. We use our generators a lot since we live in the woods. Unit works well and is fuel efficient. My only complaint about the unit itself is that the oil dip stick is in a strange spot and makes it a bit tricky to fill the oil without making a mess. Unit was damaged with it being shipped, but will works as it should (for now). 5 year warranty helps ease my worries.

I bought this for my 92 year old mother to be able to run her necessary household needs when PG&E shuts the power down due to fire safety concerns. It is easy to run and provides all the power she needs. It started right up out of the box after connecting the battery, and adding the oil and fuel.

I bought this in preparation for Mississippi hurricane season. Thankful I did and have recommended this generator to others. Followed proper procedures for initial start up/breaking in and it has run smooth ever since. Powerful and quiet compared to my old generator from 14 years ago. Good purchase.

We just got in this great generator - wanted to test it out before writing a review. Arrived in great condition, quick and easy to assemble. It started on the first pull, and runs great - tested it out with my electric drill - works like it should!

As a Senior I need a newer Generator with Electric Start. My older 10 HP 5500 watt just was getting too hard to pull start. Living in Florida we need to have a backup power source for two or three days to keep our Refrigerator working. Setting up was easy. Just put the wheels on it were the delivery guy leaves the Box. Add Oil --Roll outside and push start. At first I was a little concerned as nothing happened, then a few seconds later, the start light flashed and it started right up. Have run it for a few hours so far--with a light load. It works great!

I bought this Gen 5300 a week ago. I already own a Gen 3600 I bought 2 years ago. Best and most dependable I ever had. Both of these generators always start the first pull of the recoil. The price of both was reasonable and competitive. I would recommend Westinghouse gens to any one. I love that Westinghouse pretexts their hens

I am real impressed with this generator, Everything about this piece of equipment has worked just the way i had hoped it would, The noise level is a little higher but can be expected with this size if a generator. It should work well for running my trailer house. i wont know until summer..
