I'm so glad we purchased this just before it was out of stock! We've been meaning to get one for about five years now. Finally did after a really bad storm hit and left thousands out of power for a few days. Runs smooth, portable and not too too noisy. We love it! We'll be ready for the next power outage

Just received this generator and it is perfect. I see many reviews saying the generator end cover being damaged in shipping however that is just how it looks. The 5300 is perfect to run almost everything in our house. Finally looking forward to our next power outage LOL!

I brought this unit after we had a power outage, and it left my family dark for two days. It won't happen again because of this unit being to power the whole house with the interlocking unit that an electrician installed, and the output and sound is much more quiet than other units, plus has it lots of features.

UPS delivered the generator right into our storage tent. I unpacked it and put it together about 6 weeks later and put in the oil. when they forecast an ice storm coming our way the first week of Dec. I put in some gasoline, set the choke, hit the start button and it fired right up. It ran great for the 1 hour break-in time. A blizzard due tonight into tomorrow. Maybe it will get it's first real test.

Install wheels and feet with in 10 minutes. Exact amount of oil needed to fill generator no guessing. Funnel and tools needed to get ready to run. Has electric start but the recoil start is smooth and easy to pull start. Please with generator. Highly recommend. Thanks

Got the 5300s generator. The s is for electric start. Started on the first try. A break in period of one hour is suggested. It runs smooth and not as loud as our previous Generac 5000. One small complaint would be the short funner for adding in oil. I think they should add a couple fo inches to it.

After recently helping my family member install his new WGen9500DF generator (with a separate purchased amps/watts display), I purchased this WGen5300s to replace our 6 year old unit. In the past week, I have setup as per the instructions and tested it under no load conditions during the break-in period. It has started, operated & checked out just just as the reviews stated. Although our old gen has been very reliable during the Gulf Coast electrical power outages, we believe this unit will be as reliable, use less fuel & operate more quietly. We also like that the new unit is backed by a 3 year vrs 1 year warranty. The only room for improvement that I would suggest for the WGen gens, would be to add an amperage &/or wattage indication to the VFT display panel. We look forward to years of reliable service for our WGen3500s.

We bought this Westinghouse generator because we live in FL and we lived thru Hurricane Ian but had to borrow a friends generator for two weeks, as we'd lost power. We decided that it was time to purchase one for ourselves and we did our research and checked reviews. This generator got the best reviews and had all the features we needed. Now, we hope that we don't have to use it, but at least we have piece of mind!

Bought this unit home last night, easy to put together, I tad heavy getting it out of the box. So far started right up using both the electric start and plug cord. As of right now playing with this unit I can only think of two possible product improvements. (one ) is there is nothing in either the starting procedure or power management that tells you to insure that the Main Circuit Breaker is on ( #3 of Control Panel ) (two) I would have liked to have a protective sleeve on battery connector (not terminal ) in my case there is a small gap and I'm concerned it could be a source of contamination (so I wrapped a piece of electrical tape around it) Everything else good Happy so Far
