My back used to crack every morning; it no longer does with this mattress. I was deciding between the medium and the firm and went with the firm. It seems a bit hard at first, but getting used to it, and having good sleep with it. So far so good.

Because I loved my current S&F mattress & had had it for years, I wanted to find something similar in look & feel. They helped me research the accurate comparison & I was able to place the order the same day. The entire process was amazing & easy. The mattress was delivered fairly quickly by a team of professionals who set it up, took the old mattress & foundation away. And I was enjoying a great night's sleep in no time. In our spare bedroom I had my older S&F Estate Mattress. I decided to test it and slept on this for 2 weeks to see if it would help. NO PAIN. As a result, I returned the new mattress and replaced with the Estate Firm Pillow Top. I'm about a month in and NO PAIN AT ALL. No hip pain, no lower back pain, I finally wake up without being sore. I will never purchase another brand. The quality just can't be matched.

I am sleeping so much better however, I am considering returning it and upgrading to the cooling gel version because it does sleep a little warm. I wish all companies would stop putting hot latex in their products.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I called Stearns & Foster for help to find out which current model of mattress equated to my 10-year-old S&F mattress -- I wanted to buy a new mattress that is as supremely comfortable as the one I had been sleeping on (Stearns & Foster 'Tuscan Summer') since July 2014. Sydney in the Kentucky office was the best customer service person I have spoken to in many, many years -- she had all the answers, some to questions I didn't know to ask. She offered all the current promotional prices available, explained all the delivery procedures, and ordered the Estate mattress for me during our call. I could hardly believe how easy it was.

We had used a sleep number bed for over 20 years and found that it simply wasn't giving us the support we needed. We have had the Sterns and Foster for a month now and our sleep has never been better. We would recommend Sterns and Foster to anyone wanting a superior sleep experience.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Mattress is much thicker than my old firm Beautyrest mattress. Even though I ordered a soft, it isn't quite as soft as I'd have liked. The memory foam top lets me sink in but, I miss the bounce of the old mattress. But, the proof is in the sleeping and I don't have any of the aches and pains that my old mattress gave me. I do sleep much better on this S and F mattress, no doubt about it. I also like the handles built into this mattress, which my old one didn't have. Important note: this mattress is much thicker than my old and had to replace the old 9" foundation with a thinner 5" one, which I ordered from Stearns and Foster. The old foundation with new mattress had me way off the floor! The new foundation is better than the old one, in any case.

The Sterns and Foster Mattress I bought is my first and boy did I not know what I was missing sleeping much more comfortable and without my neck and back hurting. I picked the estate tight top medium a little weary that it might be too firm since I prefer a pillow top mattress, I was pleasantly surprised. I recommend this mattress to anyone who has back and neck problems and as for myself a side sleeper. Delivery was also white glove treatment and the two gentlemen whom took my old mattress away were very kind in and out! love it Thanks again! David Nixon
