I have had this generator since February 2017, the peace of mind is priceless. I did look tirelessly and this model was the best value. It easily handles our home ( 4200 sq ft) multiple refrigerators and 2 central air units. I did have the electrician wire the house for takeover, much easier given the winters in New England. Easy install, unpack and setup, by myself. Best of all made in the USA, great network of service centers here as well. It was very easy to setup and it started immediately. I bought this as a backup to use for sump pump and refrigeration. I feel Generac was the safest way to go because if reputation. I can feel at ease when we need it. The sticker with product info needs to be moved to make it easier to see.

This generator has great power runs well when it's on but every day you have to jump start it because there isn't a alternator that charges the battery when it's on. It's a hassle trying to always make sure the battery has enough juice to start the generator. If not your out of luck.

Just bought this generator yesterday for use as a backup power supply. This product is well built and will fit my needs perfectly. Assembled quickly using the included "Quick Start" guide, added oil and gas- hit the button and it started right up! Not looking forward to a power outage but happy to have this generator to keep everything running in my house if there is an outage.

I have used one of these for a back up generator for my house for 5 years and it does a great job, but I have recently purchased and installed a stand by unit 22kw which is awesome., There are a few things that you need to know before purchasing this unit, it is heavy and I have to use a tractor to haul it from my storage shed to the meter to hook it up, also if it is raining I have to wait until the rain slows down because the connections are open to the elements. the only other thing that pushed me to get a stand by is this unit is really loud. I think if you know these things up front and are ok with them then this unit does a really great job providing constant power when in use.

Purchased this generator due to a prolonged power outage in the Northeast in October. Didn't want that to happen again, especially during the cold winter months. Setup and startup were a breeze, and the generator fired up on the first pull. The piece of mind knowing I will have back up power for our furnace and essential appliances is worth the cost paid.

Selected the GP7500E above two other choices. Assembly was easy but, I was filling up the gas tank and the gas was leaking out the carb almost as fast as I was pouring it into the tank. Called customer service and found out this is a know problem! Now, instead of taking it to our cabin this weekend, I am taking it to a Generac Service Center. Very unhappy that it is leaking gas out the carb and it is a know problem! Maybe I will get a gift card for all my problems.......but......I don't think so!

After several power outages (ice, wind storms, etc.), I bought this generator after the recommendation of an electrician friend. He has one for his home, and he definitely made a great recommendation. While I was out of town one evening, all the power went out in the neighborhood. My 16-year old daughter was able to pull the generator out of the garage, run extension cords, and connect the refrigerator and two freezers. She had help from a friend, only because she had never used it before. We didn't lose any frozen or refrigerated items. Highly recommend this generator for home use!!!

I bought my Generac RS8000E because a friend of mine said if you want a quality lasting Generator. Then Generac is the one you want. He said the quality goes in before the name goes on. I liked that, & I like the electric starter, large fuel capacity & long run time. At 8,000 watts It has more than enough wattage to run our home. It's easy to move around and it's nice to know it's there when I need it. Our power went off for 4 days this Aug 11th, 2020 from the big storm that went threw the Midwest. That's not going to happen to my family again. Thanks Roger

Living in the outskirts of Gainesville, FL. we lose power on a constant basis, and becomes a constant nuisance to my family and myself. So the following year I determined to take my tax return and buy a new generator. I researched multiple generators in finally set my mind on the Generac 17500. Since receiving my generator in February I've used it seven times running it 4 to 5 hours with no problems, then Irma hit. I ran this generator for over seven days nonstop and it was a lifesaver. I cannot thank Generac and the people who built this generator for the power, comfort and support it has given my family. This is a well-built generator and I highly recommend it to anyone.
