Everything you need.

Setup was easy. Starts easily. Plenty of watts for most everything in home. I ordered it during hurricane season but didn’t receive until later. It hasn’t been field tested in the real world. I did have a certified electrician install a whole house manual switch to make things easier. That was very expensive, but will be worth it. It will be easier to operate circuits using my existing breakers. I am sure the generac generator will do its job.

This product quit working

It only ran for 4 hours and stopped producing ac power to our house. When we needed it, it failed. I called and was given a number of a dealer that could fix it. It is now in the shop. I am waiting for it to return, fixed I hope. After my experience with this generator I would NOT recommend anyone buy one.

Great Portable Generator

We lost power due to a storm and it was going to be at least of couple of days before it came back. I bought this one in a pinch but hindsight I'm really glad I did. Very easy to operate and starting was a snap. I was easily able to run my two refrigerators and three freezers, with room for more. I'll get this tied into the house and be able to run my well and furnace as well. Great product!

Great Product

Product assembled easily. Materials provided to get it going out of the box. Started up right away -- Very happy with the electric start compared to my old generator. Powers my furnace, sump, refigerator, freezer and hot tub when the power goes out. And I think there is power to spare !! Very pleased.

Small wonder

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Generac GP 3600 is a small wonder. The size is perfect for portability to carry with us on our camping trip. Fuel consumption is plus point, and being able to store perfectly when not in use is another advantage. Additionally i can use it for my some project around my house and as backup in case of emergency.

Generac GP3600

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This comes packaged nicely. All the parts for the handle and wheels comes packaged in a separate box inside the larger box, it even comes with a bottle of oil and funnel. The instructions are easy to understand and follow. It took about 45 minutes to attach the wheels and handle and fill with oil and gas. It wheels in and out of the garage so easily and the handle folds down to save space while in the garage. It has a pull start and it started on the first pull. While it is running it is just as loud as lawn mower, so it's not overly loud. We hooked it up to a 6 circuit transfer panel. This particular generator is enough for our oil furnace, refrigerator, and a couple lights to run all at the same time. It has an hour meter so you can easily keep track of the hours of use for maintenance purposes. So far, it does what it is suppose to do and I am happy with it.

Hurricane Dorian

Purchased this unit just prior to hurricane hitting Nova Scotia. We lost power for three and a half days. This unit kept all the essentials running and kept us safe and dry. Didn't run it over night, but pretty much all of the waking hours and only had to refill the fuel tank once. No super heavy loads but it handled the refrigerator with no problems. Used it for coffee, microwave, induction cooktop, TV and internet. Delighted with the unit.

Best 15,000 watt generator for the price

I looked all over and this is deffinetly the best generator for the money. You won't find a generator of this quality at a lower price. Took about 10 minutes to put everything together and I had the generator running in no time. The extra oil filter and air filter are a nice touch. Very pleased with my purchase. I expect this generator to give me many years of service and peace of mind.

Started right up

We are up grading from a smaller 3.5 kw generator. This one has the 120/240 receptacle to be able to power our house during an outage. Installing a transfer switch so it is easier to use and safer for the linemen repairing the lines. This will allow me to run my air compressor. I put it together added oil, gasoline, and gave it a pull. Started right up.

This generator has about average features

I purchased this generator as a back up for my home, and used it only 5 hrs and I haven't found it to be any better or worse to setup or features it offers. It is not as quiet as I had hoped. I have owned or own 6 generators. Size of those units have ranged from 2000w-15,000watts. The gas cap was very difficult to remove to fill with gas. Attaching the battery cables was not easy at all and I have some mechanical ability. Battery location could be better. Oil that comes with the unit does not give a 30W, 10W-30 label and does not indicate the size of the container, 32oz, 24oz, 42oz.. I did enjoy the ease of transporting it from the house where I assembled it to the shed in several inches of snow, where it is stored. That distance is 125 ft. The Generac brand has been around for years so I hope to get 1000 hrs + of use with no mechanical service issues.
