First impression, this is heavy and more than I ne

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The generac 9500 is nice. However it is heavy, like 265 lbs. I thought I would be able to use it more but not a lot of opportunity at this point. It stays tucked in the garage. It does make some noise but not as load as my old air compressor. Overall I think it is a good product I just don’t have a lot of use for it. I requested it to see if this app would sent me something that big. Knowing Influenster will I will be more targeted in the future. Initial impressions on the 9500 are great. That being said I am not a hard use.

Recommend the GP8000E to power a home

The GP8000E works well for running our whole house. We had an outage for 2 days and were able to run our whole house without any issues. We have a well water pump, AC, refrigerator, freezer, lights, etc. We did not encounter any issues. The portability works well for moving and storage.

An upgrade

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This generator is fantastic in quality, as one would expect from the leaders in generators. We live in Florida and store insulin along with medical equipment that has to be charged regularly so this is a must for power outages. I hated not knowing if we'd have enough gas to last us, but having three fuel sources relieves my mind. Our house has natural gas already, and we regularly have multiple LP tanks, so it's nice not having to worry about gas fumes from storing gasoline or trying to find gas during storm prep unless we want to. It's a bit large for traveling with it, but this would be an awesome unit for camping if you need a lot of plug-ins powered up and have a truck bed to load it on. The unit itself is easy to start, and easy enough to wheel around short distances. It has multiple outlets to connect into, and a panel to show how long it's running. It's really simple to use, although we have solar on our house so we can't connect into the main panel without some extra costs, so extension cords are the maximum of our experience so far. The unit is quieter than our previous model despite it being larger.

Must Have!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thank you so much for the opportunity to test out this generator! It was incredibly easy to use. I did need a bit of help setting it up since it's quite heavy, but once we got it on the wheels, it was a breeze to move around. That feature alone makes it so convenient to take out of storage when it's needed. The generator runs beautifully, and without jinxing myself, I'm actually looking forward to using it when the time comes. It has more than enough power to keep all my essential appliances running during an outage. I really can't say enough good things about it!

Easy to Start. Easy to Use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Out of the box assembly was fairly easy. I am not crazy about the design and setup of the handle. It's awkward and flimsy. However the frame is sturdy and durable. The two wheels make it very mobile. The controls are clearly labeled and makes it simple to use. It is easy to start using gasoline or propane. Runtime on one tank is about 8 to 10 hours. I've used it on the job site without issues. I am able to power a compound miter saw, table saw, floodlighting, and air compressor easily. Its rather compact size is good for hauling it from job site to job site. It fits into the back of a truck quite well. I also like the fact that it can operate on gasoline or propane.

Reliable and easy to setup!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Generac GP5500 Single-Fuel (50-State) from Influenster and Generac in exchange for an honest review, and after using it during a recent outage and for a few home projects, I'm genuinely impressed with its performance. The GP5500 has power to spare. It ran all of my essential home items—refrigerator, freezer, Wi-Fi, several lights, and even the microwave—without any strain or noticeable fluctuations. I've also used it to power a couple of heavier tools for outdoor projects, and it handled everything smoothly. Starting it is surprisingly effortless. The recoil start consistently comes to life on the first or second pull as long as the basics (fresh fuel, clean oil) are in order. It's refreshingly straightforward for a generator of this size. In terms of noise, it's about what you'd expect from an open-frame unit—comparable to a lawnmower at a reasonable distance. Audible, yes, but not disruptive or harsh. The fuel efficiency is another standout. One full tank carried me comfortably through an evening and overnight stretch, which was especially appreciated during the outage. If I had to point out a downside, it would be the weight. Even with the wheel kit, maneuvering it across uneven ground takes a bit of strength. Once it's in place, though, it's rock-solid. Overall, the Generac GP5500 is a reliable, well-designed generator that delivers exactly what you need during an outage or for demanding projects. It's straightforward, dependable, and built to last—qualities that matter most when you're relying on backup power.

Amazing Generator!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This generator is great! I love that it is dual fuel, and even comes with a nice propane quick disconnect hose. It was super easy to assemble and setup. It was also pretty easy to start up and is decently quiet. Overall, really impressed with this generator!

Good in a pinch!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This portable generator will work in a pinch if there is a power outage. It's easy to use, easy to move, and has enough output to power most appliances. Buyers should understand that generator won't be able to power multiple major appliances, but you can power a refrigerator or freezer just fine! The GP5500 runs on unleaded gasoline and has a run time of about 10hrs. It was easy to assemble and took about 20mins to put on the handle, wheels, and rubber feet. I've only put about 4hrs of time on it so far and it has worked great. Overall, if there is a major power outage, you can count on this generator to function when you need it.

Big and durable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's been very cold in Wisconsin so I did not have the time to assemble the generator onto its wheels, but I will get to that soon and update my review if needed! This is a very sturdy, powerful and durable piece of machinery. I'm happy to have this for peace of mind if we were to need to use a generator!

Nice generator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This geneator will be great when we are boondocking with our RV! It requires gasoline which is a minus for me because of the smell but at the same time, it is easy to find and purchase. This is a very heavy item, and you will need a friend to move it around!
