i highly recommend everybody having a generac generator as an emergency backup after going through hurricane irma and having no power for 8 days and we lost all of our perishable food in deep freeze and refrigerator because we did not get generator until after the storm but so glad i ordered it because of the unbearable heat in florida and we were able to run window ac's and well to take showers very satisfied.

I have had the pleasure of not having to use my generator that I purchased just over a year ago. However for the first time this summer it was finally used but yet again not by me. During a series of severe weather outbreak a friend of mine last power due to downed trees. I offer my generator to him to help keep his basement from flooding. His intention were just to use it for the sump pump. He ended up running not only the pump, but his freezers, refrigerator, air conditioning units and other things. He used it for 40 hours straight and forgot he was even on a generator until he had to fill it after the first 27 hours of run time.

Just recently purchased a home in Florida, our first hurricane season and Irma made us realize that a generator is a life saver in Florida. We have only owned it for 2 months and it was a big purchase but well worth it. We only used it for 2 days it is on the loud side but it does the job we expected it to. Overall a good purchase so far... time will tell.

I recently installed a power inlet box to my breaker panel and purchased this generator to to power the house in case of a power outage. I have tested it a couple times now and it works great. Electric start would be nice but its really not needed. This generator is easy to pull start and starts on the 1st pull every time.

Bought this generator after Hurricane Sandy after wishing we had had one prior to the storm. We waited for its delivery and when it arrived and I cut open the box, a smile came to my face. The generator not only runs great but looks great too. The fuel gauge, which many generators don't have, is a very handy thing to have. Generac is great in providing support to its customers and makes things easy to understand with their video presentations. I would highly recommend this one to everyone!

I just had the generator wired to my house and the electrician and I ran a test. It ran everything in the house. It won't run the heat pump or furnace, but that's o.k., it will keep us from going to a hotel and the contents of the refrigerator /freezer won't go bad.

I purchased this unit because I have lost power at my house a few times and got tired of having no electricity. I did months of research and comparisons between Generac and other various brands. I spend countless hours watching Youtube videos on generators (especially Generac) and finally came to the conclusion that the GP7500e was the perfect fit for me. What I like is that I can power up to 10 different breakers in my house while this unit is running. Frig,boiler,all lights, microwave,tv,internet router and computers. So, I have options for when the street is without power. This product is made here in America and I know they're made with readily available parts so I don't have any worries that this unit will last me years and years. I love this thing more than I can say. Can't wait for the next blackout. Thank You Generac for making such a great product and one that is affordable as well.

I bought this generator after Hurricane Irene and I had to put it in service during the freak October snowstorm that hit the East Coast. It performed as well as expected. I used it for 36 hours without a hitch. My wife was happy to have hot water to take a shower and also she enjoyed being able to use the microwave. I argued with her for 14 years as to the pros of having a generator. She always said it would be a waste of money, guess what ? Her tune changed during the snowstorm. She was happy to have the generator.

The generator started and ran immediately, looks like a substantial piece of machinery. We did have one short power outage where generator was put to use for a few hours, and it worked well. I overlooked the fact that the 120vac outlets are GFCI because they are solid black (reset/test buttons and face all same color, and my garage is dark), and the outlets were tripped. So, I initially called support reporting that those outlets were dead. Actually, they were OK. Incidentally, when I did call support, they did not think of that. I really wish there was a load meter. I just noticed today that the XP8000E has the load meter, but that model wasn't among those I found available when I shopped.

The generator was ready to gas up and start up when I picked it up at the dealer. It started immediately on the very first try and ran like a top. We installed the transfer switch and tested the generator with the same load I would expect during a power outage. It performed flawlessly! I have a good comfort feeling knowing we will be comfortable during our next outage.
